RESUMO: Este artigo discute questões contemporâneas da educação no que se refere às relações entre professores e alunos e à formação, a partir das teorias de Paulo Freire e de Martin Buber. Inicialmente, o texto explicita a aproximação entre a teoria de Freire e Buber. Em seguida, destaca aspectos fundantes da obra dos dois pensadores por favorecerem uma formação que se situe e que atue para o diálogo, contra a desumanização e qualquer tipo de humilhação, discriminação ou exclusão. Ao final, sintetiza contribuições de Paulo Freire e Martin Buber para uma educação voltada para a formação de comunidade e que seja crítica, criativa, dialógica. Nas considerações finais, fica evidenciada a atualidade de Freire e Buber, seu legado teórico para ações práticas e políticas.

ABSTRACT: This article discusses contemporary issues of education regarding the relationship between teachers and students and training/education, from the theories of Paulo Freire and Martin Buber. Initially, the text explains the proximity between the theories of Paulo Freire and Martin Buber. Next, it highlights fundamental aspects of the works of the two thinkers for favoring training/education that lies in and acts for dialogue, against the dehumanization and any kind of humiliation, discrimination or exclusion. Finally, it summarizes Freire's and Buber's contribution to an education focused on community training/education and that is critical, creative, dialogical. In the final considerations, the present relevance of Martin Buber and Paulo Freire, their theoretical legacy for practical and political actions is evident.

O Resumo desse Artigo de Reflexão é a sua apresentação pelo Psicodramatista José Fonseca. Na década de 70 defendi uma tese de doutorado que versava sobre as correlações filosóficas entre Martin Buber e J. L. Moreno. As conclusões apontavam para o fato de que ambos foram influenciados pelo hassidismo e pela cabala, apesar da maioria dos autores consultados darem a Buber o pioneirismo do conceito de Encontro. Ao ler o texto de Robert Waldl, o leitor poderá calcular o impacto que suas revelações me causaram. Ele não somente afirma que Moreno escreveu antes de Buber sobre o conceito de Encontro (Einladung zu einer Begegnung, 1914), como defende que o último foi diretamente influenciado pelo estilo e linguagem de Moreno em seu livro Eu e Tu (1923). Em uma troca de correspondência, Waldl contou-me que quando Moreno emigrou para os Estados Unidos, em 1925, deixou uma caixa para que seu irmão mais novo a levasse, posteriormente, para lá. William levou, mas Moreno jamais a resgatou. Em 2006, muito tempo depois da morte dos dois, a caixa foi finalmente aberta. Entre outros papéis, encontrava-se a cópia de uma carta de Moreno a Buber, datada de 1919, atestando que enviava a revista Daimon, nº 4. Segundo Waldl, exatamente este número contém um artigo de Moreno que Buber teria utilizado "quase palavra por palavra" para escrever trechos sobre o Encontro, alguns anos depois. Esses dados desconstroem algumas verdades sobre a correlação entre o pensamento de Moreno e Buber, abrem novas indagações sobre os conceitos filosóficos dos dois, e dão destaque ao pioneirismo do criador do psicodrama.(AU)

The abstract of this reflective article was written by Jose Fonseca, psychodramatist. In the 70's I defended a doctoral dissertation, exploring the philosophical correlations between Martin Buber and J.L. Moreno. According to my conclusions, both authors had been influenced by Hassidism and Kabala, despite the fact that most of the literature I consulted indicated that Buber was the pioneer of the concept of Encounter. Consulting Robert Waldl's text, the reader can imagine what impact his revelations had on me. He doesn't just simply confirm that Moreno had written about the concept of Encounter first (Einladung zu einer Begegnung, 1914 - Invitation to an Encounter, 1914), but also that Buber's book ‘I and Though' (1923) was directly influenced by Moreno's style and language. In our written correspondence with Waldl, he has told me that when Moreno emigrated to the United States in 1925, he had left behind a box for his younger brother, with the expectation that he would take it to the US later on. William had indeed taken the box, but Moreno never collected it. The box was finally opened in 2006, many years after they both had died. Among other documents, it contained a letter written by Moreno to Buber, dated 1919, certifying that he was sending him a copy of the 4th number of DAIMON. According to Waldl, it was exactly this number of DAIMON that contained an article written by Moreno, which then Buber used ‘almost word by word' when writing his excerpts on Encounter a few years later. This new information dismantles some of the truth about the correlations between Moreno and Buber's thinking, it opens up new questions about the philosophical concepts of these two authors, and highlights the pioneerism of the creator of psychodrama.(AU)
