RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To analyze the associations of severity of fatty liver with oxidative stress, serum amyloid protein A (SAA), C-reactive protein (CRP) and degree of cerebral arteriosclerosis (CAS) in CAS patients with the complication of fatty liver, and to explore the predictive values of risk factors for these patients. METHODS: A total of 200 patients diagnosed with CAS in our hospital from October 2016 to November 2018 were selected, including 90 cases with fatty liver (observation group) and 110 cases without fatty liver (control group), and there were 123 males and 77 females. The general clinical data, liver function, oxidative stress status, inflammatory factor levels, and degree of CAS were compared between the two groups, and their correlations and influencing factors were explored. RESULTS: 1) There were no significant differences in the age, gender, and high-density lipoprotein (HDL) level between the observation group and control group (P>0.05). The body mass index (BMI), total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG) and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) levels in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group. 2) The levels of liver function indexes, including alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase (GGT), in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group, all (P<0.05). 3) In terms of the oxidative stress, the level of malondialdehyde (MDA) in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, while the levels of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and glutathione (GSH) in the observation group were obviously lower than in the control group, all (P<0.05). 4) The levels of inflammatory factors, including SAA, CRP and interleukin-6 (IL-6), in the observation group were much higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). 5) Observation group had higher whole blood low shear viscosity, whole blood high shear viscosity, and plasma viscosity than the control group (P<0.05). 6) ALT (r = 0.422, P = 0.000) and SAA (r = 0.828, P = 0.000) had positive correlations with the plasma viscosity, while GSH (r = -0.719, P<0.001) had a negative correlation with the plasma viscosity. CONCLUSION: The liver function index levels, oxidative stress status, and inflammatory factor levels in CAS patients may affect the severity of arteriosclerosis and fatty liver.

RESUMO

Objective To probe into the application value of Transcranial Doppler ultrasound (TCD)for hypertension in health examination by retrospective analyzing the characteristics of TCD in Hy-pertension patients. Methods Five hundred and sixty -eight hypertension patients diagnosed in health ex-amination conducted from February 2011 to December 2014 in our hospital were selected as hypertension group, and 500 normal people participated who except hypertension in the health examination during the same period as control group. All the subjects were examined with TCD,and the results of examination in two groups were comparatively analyzed. Results Four hundred and ninety -six cases TCD examination results of 568 patients were abnormal(87.32%)in hypertension group, including 310 cases of cerebral ar-teriosclerosis(54.58%),268 cases of reduced blood flow velocity(47.18%),228 cases of elevated blood flow velocity(40.14%),245 cases of increased pulsatility index(PI)(43.13%),315 cases of increased re-sistance index (RI)(55.46%),and 231 cases of increased systolic velocity/diastolic velocity (S /D) (40.67%).The number of abnormal cases is significantly higher than that of the control group, and the difference has statistical significance (P <0.05).At the same time, compared with the control group, the mean velocity(Vm),systolic velocity(Vs)and diastolic velocity(Vd)of the bilateral middle cerebral artery (MCA)and the basilar artery(BA)in hypertension group are decreased significantly, while the PI,RI and S /D increased significantly, all the difference of which has statistical significance(P <0.05).Conclu-sions TCD can accurately reflect the hemodynamics status, the brain atherosclerosis and other pathologic changes, contributing to the assessment of hypertension and prediction of cerebrovascular diseases.Besides,it provides references for the clinical treatment and has positive effects on the prevention of cerebrovascular diseases.

RESUMO

Objective To observe the effects of hirudo capsules on degree of platelet activation and blood rheology in patients with cerebral arteriosclerosis. Methods 122 patients with cerebral arteriosclerosis were randomly divided into two groups by the random number table:observation group(61 cases)and control group (61 cases). The two groups received conventional treatment such as antihypertensive and hypoglycemic drugs, and 100 mg of aspirin once a day. In the observation group, additionally hirudo capsules 0.75 g,3 times a day were given. The therapeutic course in both groups was 2 months. Prior to the start of treatment and on the next day after the end of treatment, traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)clinical syndrome integral, platelet membrane glycoproteins caspase 1 (PAC-1),platelet adhesion molecule P selection(CD62P)positive rate, and blood rheology indexes were detected,in addition to the adverse reactions . Results Before treatment, there were no statistical significant differences between the two groups in terms of TCM clinical syndrome integral such as headache, dizziness, head fullness, multiple somnolence amnesia, lip dark purple, sublingual veins purple in color,PAC-1,CD62P positive rate, hemorheology indexes(all P>0.05). After treatment,TCM clinical syndrome integral PAC-1,CD62P,low shear viscosity, high shear viscosity, plasma viscosity and the hematocrit of two groups were significantly lower than those before treatment, the improvement in observation group being more remarkable〔headache:0.75±0.69 vs. 1.23±0.92,dizziness:0.96±0.78 vs. 1.54±1.24,head fullness:0.65±0.59 vs. 1.48±1.17,multiple somnolence amnesia:0.77±0.72 vs. 1.69±1.14,lip dark purple:0.83±0.81 vs. 1.32±0.79,sublingual veins purple:0.84±0.67 vs. 1.20±0.74, PAC-1:(10.31±4.57)%vs.(15.13±6.27)%,CD62P:(11.39±5.24)%vs.(16.40±7.91)%,low shear viscosity (mPa?s):7.52±3.37 vs. 8.97±3.50,high shear viscosity(mPa?s):4.35±1.12 vs. 5.58±1.19,plasma viscosity (mPa?s):1.54±0.35 vs. 1.88±0.42,hematocrit(HCT):0.43±0.09 vs. 0.49±0.10〕. In the patients' follow-up, there were no obvious side effects of hirudo capsules. Conclusion Hirudo capsule is a safe and effective drug for treatment of patients with cerebral arteriosclerosis as it is helpful in reducing platelet activation degree and improving the blood rheology indexes.

RESUMO

The abnormal proliferation of vascular smooth muscle cells after endothe-lial injury is postulated to be the main pathophysiological process in atherosclerosis (AS). The effects of propylene glycol mannate sulfate(PGMS) on the proliferation of bovine cerebral microvessel smooth muscle cslls (BCMSMCs) induced by 10% fetal calf serum (FCS) and interleukin l(IL-1) were investigated in culture. 5 - 8 stage subcultured BCMSMCs were incubated into 96-well dish- With either 10% FCS or IL-1 (50u/ml) to produce BCMSMCs proliferation , the inhibitory effects of PGMS on proliferation of BCMSMCs were investigated. The results shows that PGMS could inhibit the proliferation of quiescent BCMSMCs induced by 10% PCS. The growth of cells was inhibited, comparing with normal control 72hours after the serum addition as determined by crystal violet stainning and MTTmethod. The proliferation of quiescent BCMSMCs induced by IL-1 (50u/ml) was also inhibited by PGMS as determined by crystal violet stainning and MTT method. The results suggested that PGMS inhibit the proliferation of BCMSMCs induced by 10% FCS and IL-1 ,and the use of PGMS may probably play an important role in the treatment of cerebrovascular disease.
