Repetition Compulsion Revisited in Relational Family Therapy: The Discovery of Old in Order to Develop Something New.

Psychoanalysis has always been full of diversity and controversy, in the theoretical field and especially in the plasticity and variety of its modalities and approaches. Yet all these theories are based on the premise that individuals compulsively repeat their old psycho-organic content, both in their personal lives and in analysis; the premise of Relational Family Therapy is that old emotional, behavioral and bodily complications must first be repeated before being fully processed so that something new can be created.

Virtual reality and the psyche. Some psychoanalytic approaches to media addiction.

This paper explores the ramifications of excessive use of media on personality development, the development of symbolic and thinking functions and on psychic reality. In doing so, the questions of whether there are specific media objects possessing an intrinsic symbolic quality, and which attachments in the inner world of a child/adolescent can be mobilized or destroyed are discussed. By selecting specific material, computer gamers use their game to activate the field of a personal psychic reality. Hereby, they attempt some kind of self-healing. However, after leaving the game, conflicts and traumata re-enacted but unresolved in the game disappear from their temporary representation without generating any resonance in the gamer's psychic experience. Consequently, although states of mind and affects are activated in the computer game, their processing and integration fail; the game results in a compulsive repetition. The construction and consolidation of retrievable maturation and structural development, the representation of the unrepresentable, succeed in the context of the triangulating analytic relationship, initially through a jointly performed symbolic and narrative re-experience or the recreation of the game. Theoretical considerations are illustrated by means of clinical vignettes.

Este artigo problematiza a condição traumatogênica da modernidade no que tange as experiências de choque e a paixão pelo Real tematizadas por autores como Christoph Türcke e Slavoj Zizek que, em nossa hipótese, se "encarnam" em fenômenos como das Bodymodifications. Para tanto, propõe-se um diálogo entre Psicanálise e as injunções histórico-culturais contemporâneas, munido de uma análise-interpretativa do material colhido no site www.bmezine.com. Entende-se que a economia pulsional ligada a tais práticas é correlata ao trauma e ao vício como compulsão a repetição: as feridas autoimpingidas pelos adeptos situam uma tentativa, ainda que inócua, de ligar o excesso energético. Sob uma explícita expressão do amalgama dialético entre pulsão de morte e pulsão de vida emerge o fracasso do princípio de prazer.(AU)

Recaídas na drogadição: uma via para (re)pensar a atenção à saúde / Relapses in drug addiction: a way to (re)think health attention

RESUMO Problematiza se o fenômeno da 'recaída' por meio da análise de entrevistas com 100 usuários de crack e 100 familiares, da pesquisa 'A realidade do crack em Santa Cruz do Sul'. Na análise de sentidos dos discursos, as 'recaídas' ganharam múltiplas significações, contrastando com a ideia que as reduzem a mera reprodução do vivido, ligando-se ao círculo internação-desintoxicação-intoxicação-internação. Apoiados na Psicanálise, propõe-se entender a 'recaída' como experiência de repetição com significados simbólicos, sinalizadora de conflitos psíquicos que urgem atenção suportada na Política de Humanização. Destituir as vivências de significação precariza a oferta de cuidados, obstaculizando ampliação da clínica.

ABSTRACT This article reflects on the relapse phenomenon through the analysis of interviews with 100 crack users and 100 family members, carried out as part of the research project 'The reality of crack in Santa Cruz do sul.' In the analysis of discourse meanings, relapses have had multiple meanings, contrasting with the idea of mere reproduction of what was lived, being part of the cycle internment detoxication intoxication internment. Based on Psychoanalysis, we propose to understand relapses as an experience of repetition with symbolical meanings, which signal psychological conflicts that claim for attention supported by Humanization Policy. The interpretation of subjects' experiences withoutmeanings may worsen the conditions of care offer, being obstacles to the necessary expansion of clinics.
