RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To design a teaching model of innovative nursing practice workshop for new nurses based on creativity component theory and OBE concept, and to explore its implementation effect and application evaluation. METHODS: Using convenience sampling, 50 newly recruited nurses in 2021 from a tertiary hospital in Chengdu were selected as the study subjects and taught using the new nurses' innovative practice workshop based on creativity component theory and the OBE concept. RESULTS: Before and after the implementation of the teaching, the new nurses' creativity scale scores were significantly improved, and the effects of practice demonstration, teaching satisfaction results, and research output (one-year follow-up) were better. All 50 new nurses (100%) expressed willingness to participate in the course again. CONCLUSIONS: Based on creativity component theory and the OBE concept, the innovative practice workshop for new nurses integrates theory and practice, and fully mobilizes students' thinking, interest, and subjective initiative; during the teaching process, students' creative thinking and problem-solving skills are improved, in addition, teamwork, literature review, communication and other skills are improved to different degrees, which is conducive to the research results. In addition, students' abilities in teamwork, literature review, communication, and other aspects have been improved to different degrees, which is conducive to producing scientific research results and lays a good foundation for their future career development. Aurora Battery is a corresponding test of successful intelligence. This study aims to examine the factorial structure of the Chinese version of Aurora Battery and to investigate its internal consistency and validity, as well as to discover the developmental features of Chinese students. A total number of 2007 students were recruited from 13 schools across eastern, central, and western China, ranging from 4th to 8th grade (mean age = 12.29 years) and among them, 43.9% are girls. Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was used to examine the factorial structure. Among the tested models, a second-order factor model, in which the three ability factors serve as indicators of a general factor, provided an acceptable model fit to the data. Moreover, measurement invariance across gender and grades were supported, which suggests the mean scores of analytical, creative, and practical abilities are comparable in this research. The criterion-related validity analysis suggests that the battery and its three subscales have good criterion validity. The scale reliability analysis shows that the Cronbach's alpha and the McDonald's omega value of the whole test were .84 and .87, respectively, indicating the scale's internal reliability is good. For ability differences among grades, students' analytical and practical abilities increase across all grades, while creativity presents an upward trend from grade 4 to 6, followed by a downward trend from grade 6 to 7, and an increase from grade 7 to 8. Female students outperform male students on both analytical and creative ability, while with no obvious difference on practical abilities.

There is increasing demand for individual creativity as organizations seek innovative ways to remain relevant. Higher education institutions, particularly business schools, are sensitive to this demand and are constantly in search for innovative ways to enhance the creative ability of their students. Prior studies have shown encouraging results for physical activity-oriented interventions. Building on this research, this study uses Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) to understand if an acute combinatory intervention, involving both physical and mental exercises embodied in Hatha yoga can improve individual creativity. This study uses 92 MBA student participants to investigate the impact of a 20-minute Hatha yoga session intervention against a short 20-minute case study session for the control group. Creative ability of the participants is operationalized through divergent and convergent thinking, which are then assessed through counter-balanced forms of Guilford Alternate Uses tasks and Remote Associate Test, respectively. The results show that while Hatha yoga significantly improves divergent thinking, the control group shows deterioration in divergent thinking. There is no effect on convergent thinking. These findings lend some support to the executive function hypothesis. The study also finds that prodding a person to be more creative on a routine academic task may not enhance their creative ability.

AIMS: To evaluate relationships among psychological capital, creative tendency, and job burnout among Chinese nurses. BACKGROUND: Nurses are particularly susceptible to job burnout and kinds of factors related to their burnout. However, limited studies focus on the relationships among nurses' psychological capital, creative tendency, and job burnout in China. DESIGN: A cross-sectional design. METHODS: A convenience sample of 200 female nurses was recruited from a grade A tertiary hospital in Shandong province from December 2016-January 2017. Data were collected using self-reported questionnaires, including the Chinese version of the Maslach Burnout Inventory-General Survey, Creativity Assessment Packet, Psychological Capital Questionnaire, and the socio-demographic questionnaire. RESULTS: Nurses' psychological capital and creative tendency was negatively related to job burnout and psychological capital was positively related to creative tendency. Moreover, creative tendency partially mediated the relationship between psychological capital and job burnout. CONCLUSIONS: Interventions aimed at strengthening nurses' creative tendencies and psychological capital could reduce the occurrence of job burnout. IMPACT: This study identified the psychological capital and creative tendency affecting job burnout among Chinese nurses. The psychological capital and creative tendency was negatively related to job burnout; creative tendency partially mediated the relationship between psychological capital and job burnout among Chinese nurses. Nurses should pay attention to their own creative personality and take the advantage of it to release job burnout. Nurse managers are called on to strengthen nurses' psychological capital and creativity in this study by designing effective strategies for preventing job burnout among nurses.

Objective To explore the main characteristics and influencing factors of military pharmacy postgraduates' creative ability,providing the basis for the creative ability training and education management of military pharmacy postgraduate students.Methods Full-time graduate students of three military medical colleges and universities were participated in this study,and questionnaire survey was carried out on 428 military pharmacy postgraduates by cluster random sampling.SPSS 16.0 was used to process descriptive analysis,t-test,F-test,correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis for data analysis.Results The creative ability of military pharmacy postgraduates is better than average (the median is 3),and the ability to construct knowledge was significantly higher than that of finding problems,solving problems and the ability of improvement and transformation (F=39.024,P<0.001).The creative ability of doctoral students in grade three was higher than that of the master students in all grades (F=2.602,P<0.05).The extrinsic motivation was significantly higher than intrinsic motivation (t=4.327,P<0.001),and the interaction between teachers and students was significantly higher than that among students them-selves (t=6.755,P<0.001).On the institutional category,it showed statistically significant in the training concept,the training subject,the training condition,the intrinsic motivation,the interaction between teachers and students,and the interaction among students themselves (t=-1.962,P<0.05;t=2.697,P<0.01;t=-2.593,P<0.01;t=2.938,P<0.01;t=4.595,P<0.001;t=2.984,P<0.01).The significant predictive effects on improving the creative ability of military pharmacy postgraduates were shown by training concept,training methods,academic atmosphere,intrinsic motivation,interaction between teachers and students,and the interaction among students themselves (F=48.711,P<0.001).Conclusion The creative ability of military pharmacy postgraduates is in the middle level,and the important influencing factors lie in themselves and schools.The education departments should construct the innovation ability training model from the concept of innovation training,teaching methods,scientific research team,atmosphere of innovation,incentive mechanism and other aspects.
