RESUMO
O objetivo deste trabalho foi organizar e compilar os dados do Instituto Mineiro de Agropecuária (IMA), relativos ao trânsito de bovinos para abate no Norte de Minas Gerais. Os dados foram obtidos dos protocolos de controle desse órgão estadual pertencentes ao escritório da Delegacia Regional de Montes Claros. Estes documentos consistem das folhas de captação de animais referentes ao período de janeiro a dezembro do ano de 2008. Neste levantamento constatou-se um abate total de 137.585 bovinos. A relação abate formal ou sob Inspeção Federal, Estadual e Municipal representou 81.001 bovinos abatidos (59%) e com o abate informal foram abatidos 56.584 bovinos (41%). Esses resultados não são compatíveis com outros trabalhos descritos na literatura, evidenciando um claro decréscimo quanto ao abate clandestino na Região.(AU)
The objective of this work was to organize the data of the Instituto Mineiro de Agropecuária (IMA), relative to the transit of bovines for slaughtering in the North of Minas Gerais. The data were obtained of the protocols of control of this state agency that belongs to the office of the Regional Station of Montes Claros. These documents consist of data of the farms where the animals are from within the period of January to December ai 2008. This survey evidenced one total slaughtering of I 37.585 bovines. Wasobserved slaughters 60.898 females (44%) and 76.687 males (56%), what tends to diminish the effective flock and the replacement of the breeding. The relation of slaughtering under Federal, State and Municipal Inspection (59%) represented 81.001 abated bovines and the informal slaughtering represented 56.584 bovines (41%).These results are not compatible with other works described in literature,evidencing a decrease in the illegal slaughtering.
