A Preliminary Study on the Biological Research of Supplementary Syndrome in Special Deficiency / 世界科学技术-中医药现代化

This paper is based on the theory of"internal diseases will be presented externally"in Traditional Chinese Medicine, combined with the idea of syndrome differentiation and grasping the main symptoms, and proposes the concept of"virtual special disease". It is extracted from ancient books and expert experience, and it is believed that it is widespread and can be tested by clinical practice. The application of virtual syndrome to diagnosis can achieve the purpose of simplifying the complexity TCM syndrome differentiation. On the one hand, it provides a new exploration for enriching the TCM syndrome differentiation system; on the other hand, it provides new ideas for supplementing the biological research of syndromes and developing the diagnosis of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine.

Clinical Application of Disease-syndrome Combination and Formula-syndrome Relation / 世界科学技术-中医药现代化

The traditional conotation of combination of disease and syndrome means the combination of disease differentiation in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) diseases and TCM syndrome differentiation,which was derived from the Yellow Emperor's Inner Classic.And the Treatise on Cold Damage and Miscellaneous Diseases describes the clinical application of this theory.Under the background of integrative medicine,the modern conotation of combination of disease and syndrome means TCM syndrome differentiation and treatment based on modern medicine disease differentiation,which is commonly used in the current clinical practice.The disease and syndrome combination diagnosis mode based on syndrome,etiology,pathology and pharmacology can understand the disease from a multiple and comprehensive level,in order to realize the combination and complementation of advantages from both medicines.In addition,formula-syndrome relation means the relationship between the formula and its relevant indications.In general,indications often involve syndromes,symptoms,diseases and body constitutions.And the application of formula in the Treatise on Cold Damage and Miscellaneous Diseases is the representative of this theory.Hence,the application of associated classical formula gives example to the clinical formula-syndrome relation application in modem times.

Knowledge Discovery In Terms of Sunshine Diagram of Multi-layer Complex Concept Network Express on Urination Formula-syndrome inTreatise on Exogenous Febrile Disease / 世界科学技术-中医药现代化

This study was aimed to discover the knowledge of urination formula-syndrome in theTreatise on Exogenous Febrile Diseasebased on the Sunshine diagram of multi-layer complex concept network express. A total of 39 items about urination formula-syndrome in theTreatise on Exogenous Febrile Diseasewere collected, and then regulated into standard expression. The database was established and the multi-layer complex concept network express was constructed. The Sunshine diagram was drawn and the connotation rules on urination formula-syndrome in theTreatise on Exogenous Febrile Diseasewere summarized through mode development of the diagram. The results showed that the Sunshine diagram collected 44 objects (i.e., formulas) and 191 properties (i.e. syndromes), which expressed the urination formula-syndrome visually. It was concluded that the application of Sunshine diagram in the formula-syndrome knowledge based on multi-layer complex concept network express provided certain references on the inheritance and development of classics in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM).

Research of Traditional Chinese Medical Syndromes:Progress and Problems / 广州中医药大学学报

In this study, we reviewed the research progress of traditional Chinese medical syndromes and analyzed the problems. The results showed that most of the reports of the traditional Chinese medical syndrome research utilized the modern scientific technology, and testified the rationality of traditional Chinese medical theory by modern medical logical thinking. It is suggested that for the present research showing obvious achievements should be continued, but for the study showing less effectiveness, the research direction should be converted after adopting the related suggestions. Before the formation of the optimum medical mode, the research of traditional Chinese medical syndromes should not be suspended. It is indicated that the future research of traditional Chinese medical syndromes should still be based on the ancient medical literatures, and can adopt the direct-viewing and microscopic explanation of the modern medical sciences , as well as their study methods of qualitation, positioning, and quantitation.

Trinity of physique differentiation, diagnosis of disease and syndrome differentiation and clinical practice of diabetes / 中华中医药杂志

It expounded the important position of physique in etiology and process of disease,investigated essence and application of physique in disease control,revealed the classifi cation of physique in three yin three yang.Also it expounded the signif icance of diagnosis of disease in TCM theory and clinical therapy,then revealed basic pathogenesis of diabetes:damaged yin and qi due to inner heat.Then it discussed the syndrome differentiation in the TCM treatment and suggested that it should combine with physique differentiation and diagnosis of disease.At last it expounded the trinity of physique differentiation,diagnosis of disease and syndrome differentiation in treating diabetes and its complication.
