Ser maestro es tener vocación de servicio, ser ejemplo para los alumnos y es tener un papel importante en la sociedad; el Dr. José Rufino Díaz Novás ha contribuido al desarrollo de profesionales de la salud; en él convergen el médico docente consagrado y el hombre fundador, defensor y continuador de las ideas del Programa del Médico y Enfermera de la Familia. En la vida existen personas inolvidables, este es el caso del profesor Pepín, como cariñosamente le llaman sus alumnos, por la fructífera labor que trascendió a las nuevas generaciones, sus aportes en la formación de los recursos humanos en el sector salud y, especialmente, por la contribución al desarrollo de la Medicina Familiar en Cuba(AU)

To be a teacher is to have a vocation for service, to be an example for students and to play an important role in society; Dr. José Rufino Díaz Novás has contributed to the development of health professionals; on him, the consecrated Professor Doctor and the man who has been founder, defender and follower of the ideas of the Family Doctor and Nurse Program converge. In life there are unforgettable people; this is the case of Professor Pepín, as his students affectionately call him for the fruitful work that transcended the new generations, his contributions to the training of human resources in the health sector and especially for the contribution to the development of Family Medicine in Cuba(AU)

Varios autores califican de Maestro a todo aquel que enseña; el Dr. Ramón Syr Salas Perea considerado de esta forma, contribuyó al desarrollo de profesionales de la salud, pues guió, asesoró y estimuló el comportamiento de los profesores en el sector salud, así como la búsqueda del objeto del saber. "Cuando se ha cumplido bien la obra de la vida", quedan el recuerdo y las enseñanzas para siempre en aquellos que se han educado; es este el caso de la fructífera y laboriosa existencia del maestro Dr. Ramón Syr Salas Perea durante su vida y sus aportes en la formación de los recursos humanos en el sector salud.

Dr. Ramón Syr Salas Perea was considered an outstanding teacher who contributed to the development of health professionals since he guided, advised, and encouraged the teachers' behavior in the health sector and made them realize the importance of the search for knowledge. When the work of life has been well fulfilled, memories and teaching actions will ever remain in the memory of those who have been educated. This is the case of the fruitful and hard-working labor carried out by the university teacher Dr. Ramón Syr Salas Perea during all his life, as well as his contributions in the training of human resources in the health sector.
