RESUMO

The medical massive open online course (MOOC) quality certification standard is the reference for the implementation of medical MOOC quality monitoring. This thesis utilizes data mining, quantitative analysis, qualitative analysis and other methods, taking the comment text of the Chinese medicine courses on the Ai Course (MOOC of China Universities) platform as the data source out of which to extract certain potential indicators for the medical MOOC quality certification standard. Based on the analysis of the existing research results on MOOC quality evaluation domestic and abroad as well as the relevant policies of the Ministry of Education, a medical MOOC quality accreditation standard including 6 first-level indicators are formed, including course content, teaching design and so on. Expert scores and AHP method were used to calculate the weight coefficient of the quality certification standard. Finally, this paper explains the procedure of medical MOOC quality certification in college. This certification system can be used to conduct self-assessment and quality monitoring of medical MOOC in colleges and universities.

RESUMO

The green production transition in agriculture is all about the quality of agricultural products at the source of production. Whether the product quality certification can accelerate the green production transition in agriculture is an issue of concern. We have measured the degree of green production transition of kiwifruit growers using a finite mixture model in this paper, and use research data from the main kiwifruit production areas in Shaanxi and Sichuan provinces to verify the impact of conducting product quality certification on the green production transition of kiwifruit growers. Besides, we use a multi-valued treatment effects model to verify the differences in the degree of green production transition among kiwifruit growers in the face of different certification types. Our findings are mainly as follows: the degree of green production transition among kiwifruit growers is not high, with an average of only 36.3%. Product quality certification can significantly promote the green production transition of kiwifruit growers, and the promotion effect of different certification methods in green production transition of kiwifruit growers significantly varies. The promotion effect of organic certification is greater than that of green certification and pollution-free certification. Further, the mechanism test analysis reveals that product quality certification can influence the green production transition of kiwifruit growers through three mechanisms: quality monitoring, market premium, and market access threshold. Based on this, this paper proposes policy recommendations to advance quality certification and green production transition among kiwifruit growers to increase the certification, enhance the willingness to green transition, and boost the differentiated certification system.

RESUMO

Good manufacturing practice (GMP) is advocated and implemented as a standardized procedure for manufacturing dietary supplements. However, in Japan as a case, only half of the manufacturers in this field so far adopt it. To address this issue, the present study aims to explore the effect of key characteristics of a company on the adoption of and compliance with GMP for dietary supplements. The focus is on the effect of expertise in the pharmaceutical industry. The relationships between company characteristics and the adoption of GMP were analyzed for 90 manufacturers in the dietary supplement industry in Japan. A binomial logistic regression analysis showed that each of the following three factors had a positive and significant effect on the company's adoption of GMP: company size in terms of revenue (odds ratio = 1.04, p = 0.019), possession of a manufacturing license for pharmaceutical products (13.7, p = 0.003), and number of own product categories manufactured (3.93, p = 0.00009). These findings strongly suggest that the company's manufacturing capability of pharmaceutical products works as a key driver for the better adoption of a quality standard in the dietary supplement industry in Japan. Few considerations were made for conditions of the adoption and implementation of GMP. The present study empirically contributes by providing key clues for issues in the dietary supplement industry and by forming a theoretical base for policymakers and the regulatory authorities.

RESUMO

Quality-certified, nutritious novel groundnut spread has great commercialization possibilities due to evolving urban lifestyles in Africa, but lack of information about likability, sensory attributes, and consumer safety awareness is a severe barrier for small enterprises. This paper examines a novel groundnut spread, made of sorted kernels deemed free of aflatoxin, intended for use on bread in a fashion similar to groundnut paste or groundnut butter, but with modified sensory characteristics. In particular, it seeks to measure the effects of sensory attributes of the novel spread on the intent to pay for safety certification and the role of consumer awareness of aflatoxin. A novel spread was prepared with groundnut paste from sorted kernels (to eliminate the risk of aflatoxin contamination) and cocoa. Adults intercepted at Ghana's International Fair in 2012 volunteered to sample the spread and complete a questionnaire. Results from a tasting panel of untrained participants established that sensory attributes and panellist characteristics are relevant to the intent to pay for quality certification. Spread likability, aroma, education, knowledge about aflatoxin, packaging and being married were identified as major factors increasing the probability of intent to pay for quality certification whereas young age and the presence of children in a household lowered the probability. Results also identified income, education level, and having young children at home as increasing the chances of knowing about aflatoxin. Groundnut paste available in Ghana is often contaminated by aflatoxin as it is in other countries in the region and consumers cannot visually assess paste quality. Under the circumstances, quality certification is necessary.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Divisions within the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) often convene meetings of advisory committees, also known as AdComm or Panel meetings. The purpose of many AdComm meetings is for the FDA to obtain outside advice and recommendations on whether to approve a new drug or medical device. Laws and regulations indicate that such Panels are to provide recommendations regarding the approvability of the drug or device by FDA. METHODS: We examine recent AdComm meetings, including a systematic review of drugs and biologics AdComms between 2011 and 2016, to find whether FDA is obtaining Panel recommendations on drug and device approvability in accordance with these laws and regulations. (This article does not contain any studies with human or animal subjects performed by any of the authors.). RESULTS: We find that Panel recommendations on approvability are often not obtained. We further find that, in most cases where Panel recommendations are obtained, voting procedures are such that those recommendations address product approvability in only an indirect manner. CONCLUSIONS: While FDA rightly has the authority to exercise discretion in many aspects of the product approval process, we believe that it must obtain clear recommendations whenever it convenes a Panel to address product approvability.

The processes of Permanent Education for services in general and their training sectors or capacity with the need to adopt the questionable instructional design, in order to stimulate reflection on practice and knowledge construction. In health institutions is no different, because its workers daily need also appropriately apply their knowledge to reality, which often occurs in a complex scenario, where technical skill should be combined with actions to ensure continuity of the work process. In this context, the safety of the patient at hospital is linked to the development of some preventive actions, which must be based on universal principles and the specific reality of the health unit. Manage the safe use of medicines is a priority when it comes to minimizing risks to the patient. Main aim: to describe about one permanent education founded on institutional quality culture, from the everyday lives of professionals involved in medication process of the in-patient. Secondary aims: relate the main issues related to the process of education permanent; know possible strategies adopted by professionals involved with the health of hospitalized patients, in coping of issues related to the medication process and its effectiveness and; identify educational strategies with potential to promote interaction / discussion and multidisciplinary solution of issues and problems related to medication process of inpatients. Methodology: A descriptive qualitative study, developed at the National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedics (INTO), public health institution, accredited for six years, national reference in high-complexity care, located in the municipality of Rio de Janeiro. Were used as techniques of data collection: in-depth interviews and focus groups in intentional sample of 15 health professionals. Data were treated by content analysis according to Bardin. Results: Data analysis revealed three categories, namely: Permanent Education for commitment; Permanent Education for socializing and; Permanent Education for change. The categories that emerged showed the prospects of the studied phenomenon related to difficulties, multidisciplinary actions for problem solving and generation change in the working process as it relates to the process of inpatient medication. Conclusion: The concept of Permanent Education in a health service in fulfilling its goal of transforming everyday actions provides the continued knowledge about its employees and the aspects that make them participants in the construction process of change. The reflection about education in health services dialogues with a reflection that occurs about the quality of care in such services. Thus, the development of work processes within a hospital unit that excels in quality of care provided to your customer goes beyond implementing a management methodology that ensures the tasks according to pre-established standards in manuals, routines and protocols
