Revision of the genus Lemula (Coleoptera, Cerambycidae, Lepturinae).

The lepturine genus Lemula Bates, 1884 of the tribe Rhagiini is revised. A new subgenus, Pseudolemula is proposed for L. viridipennis Holzschuh, 1993. Nine new species and two new subspecies are described and illustrated: L. (s. str.) aequipilosa sp. nov., L. (s. str.) nitidiuscula sp. nov., L. (s. str.) zhani sp. nov. L. (s. str.) jinfoshana sp. nov., L. (s. str.) formosana formosana sp. nov., L. (s. str.) formosana aenea subsp. nov., L. (s. str.) simillima sp. nov., L. (s. str.) holzschuhi sp. nov., L. (s. str.) shaanxiensis sp. nov., L. (s. str.) lata zhejianga subsp. nov., L. (Pseudolemula) tichyi sp. nov.. Lemula inaequalicollis Pic, 1957, Lemula densepunctata Hayashi, 1974 and Lemula obscuripennis Shimomura, 1979 are synonymized with Lemula (s. str.) testaceipennis Gressitt, 1939. Lemula longipennis Shimomura, 1979 is synonymized with L. (s. str.) cyanipennis Hayashi, 1974. Habitus and the endophallus of male genitalia of all species (excluding Pseudolemula) are illustrated. A key to the species and subspecies is provided.

Three new species of Labomimus Sharp (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae: Pselaphinae) from Taiwan, China, with an updated key for L. shibatai Sawada-group.

The Labomimus Sharp fauna in Taiwan is represented by a single species. In this paper, three new species are described and illustrated: L. dadongmontis sp. nov., L. dilaticeps sp. nov., and L. sugayai sp. nov. The key to species of the L. shibatai Sawada-group is updated to accommodate the two new species placed in this group.

Demonstration and reference of DRGs case management in a medical center in Taiwan of China / 中华医院管理杂志

Since the first edition of Tw-DRGs was developed in Taiwan in 2002, the system introduction of the hospital management level has been successfully completed. This paper detailed the organizational structure of DRGs case management in local hospitals ( DRGs promotion group, front-end medical care, ICD end, and the medical expenses reporting). It also introduced the operation process of identifying, locking and adjusting process of the pre-hospital, in-hospital and post-hospital aspects of inpatients, and provides in the end useful experiences for the promotion of DRGs case management in China′s mainland hospitals.

Discovery of a New Species of the Pentastomid Genus Porocephalus (Humboldt,1811)from Taiwan, China and its Pathogenic Features / 中国寄生虫学与寄生虫病杂志

Objective To describe the morphological characteristics of Porocephalus taiwana sp. nov., discuss its pathogenic features and the method of etiological diagnosis of the new disease. Methods Fecal sedimentation concentration was used to collect nymphs from the patient's watery stool for species identification. Clinical information was collected for determining the pathogenic features of the new infection. Results A new pathogenic pentastomid Porocephalus taiwana sp. nov. is discovered and a new disease-porocephaliasis taiwana-is nominated. With the findings from this case it is proposed that the traditional visceral pentastomiasis should be divided into two subtypes, Encystic and Excystic. According to the pathological features, this case belongs to the excystic visceral pentastomiasis. Conclusion Porocephalus taiwana sp. nov. is a new pathogenic pentastomid infecting humans. Porocephaliais taiwana belongs to a novel type (excystic) of visceral pentastomiasis.
