RESUMO
El tatuaje escleral es una forma de modificación de una parte de los ojos por inoculación de tintas y pinturas entre la conjuntiva bulbar y la epiesclera. Es considerada una extraña forma de tatuarse el cuerpo, poniendo en peligro el órgano de la visión. Se describen dos casos de adultos que fueron atendidos en el cuerpo de guardia de oftalmología por haberse inyectado pintura de diferentes procedencias en los ojos, para tatuarlos. Refieren como antecedentes que personas no expertas fueron las que le inyectaron las conjuntivas. Los síntomas descritos fueron el dolor, lagrimeo y cefaleas en los tres primeros días. Se describe al examen oftalmológico en ambos casos, edema palpebral, blefarospasmo intenso, secreciones conjuntivales e inyección conjuntival severa. Se impuso tratamiento en ambos pacientes y se citaron para consulta especializada para toma fotográfica, actualmente se les da seguimiento en consulta (AU)
Scleral tattooing is a form of modification of a part of the human eye by inoculation of inks and paints between the bulbar conjunctiva and the episclera of the eyes. It is considered a strange form of tattooing the body, putting the organ of vision in danger. This study describes two cases of adults who were attended to at the ophthalmology emergency department because they injected paint from different sources into the eyes to tattoo them. They stated that non-expert people were the ones who injected it into their conjunctivas. The symptoms described were pain, weeping and headaches during the first three days. On ophthalmologic examination palpebral edema, severe blepharospasm, conjunctival secretions and severe conjunctival injection were described in both cases. Treatment was ordered for both patients and they were given an appointment for a specialized consultation for photographic shots. They are currently followed up in office (AU)
