In biological systems, nanoparticles interact with biomolecules, which may undergo protein corona formation that can result in noncontrolled aggregation. Therefore, comprehending the behavior and evolution of nanoparticles in the presence of biological fluids is paramount in nanomedicine. However, traditional lab-based colloid methods characterize diluted suspensions in low-complexity media, which hinders in-depth studies in complex biological environments. Here, we apply X-ray photon correlation spectroscopy (XPCS) to investigate silica nanoparticles (SiO2) in various environments, ranging from low to high complex biological media. Interestingly, SiO2 revealed Brownian motion behavior, irrespective of the complexity of the chosen media. Moreover, the SiO2 surface and media composition were tailored to underline the differences between a corona-free system from protein corona and aggregates formation. Our results highlighted XPCS potential for real-time nanoparticle analysis in biological media, surpassing the limitations of conventional techniques and offering deeper insights into colloidal behavior in complex environments.

The Argentinean Pampean region is essential for global food security, known for its extensive production of soybeans, corn, and wheat. The November to January (NDJ) trimester is critical for rainfed summer crops, as precipitation during this period directly affects soil moisture and crop yields. The El Niño-Southern Oscillation (ENSO), particularly its Oceanic Niño Index (ONI), plays a crucial role in influencing precipitation patterns in this region. This study investigates the spatial correlation between the ONI and NDJ precipitation from 1990 to 2021 sing a 20-year sliding window approach. We conducted Pearson correlation and cluster analyses to identify regions with consistent ONI-precipitation relationships. Our findings reveal notable temporal variability, with a general decrease in correlation strength since the window 1995-2014. This decline is likely driven by changes in ENSO dynamics and the influence of other climate variability modes, highlighting the need to consider factors modulating the ONI-precipitation relationship. Notably, the addition of the strong 2015 El Niño, which exhibited inconsistent precipitation behaviour compared to previous strong El Niño events such as 1997, contributed to this weakening. While the 1997 El Niño brought widespread positive rainfall anomalies, the 2015 event was marked by weaker and even negative precipitation anomalies in part of the region. This difference mirrors similar patterns reported in other parts of South America, such as Ecuador and Coastal Peru, and may be linked to a poleward shift in the jet streams during the 2015/2016 El Niño. The results underscore the complexity of ENSO's impact on regional climate and highlight the need for adaptive agricultural planning. By enhancing the understanding of ONI-precipitation dynamics, this study aims to improve long-term climate predictions and support sustainable agricultural practices in the Pampean region.

The abnormal biological activity of cytokines and their imbalance are implicated in developing rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Cytokine levels were measured in RA and SLE patients and compared to healthy controls using the Wilcoxon rank sum test and Kruskal-Wallis test. The relationship between cytokine levels and blood and clinical parameters was assessed using Spearman's correlation test. Compared to healthy controls, both RA and SLE patients exhibited elevated levels of GM-CSF, CX3CL1, IFN-α2, IL-12p70, IL-17A, TNF-α, IL-1ß, and IFN-γ, which is evidence of their shared inflammatory signature. IL-2 levels were elevated exclusively in RA patients, while MCP-1 and IL-10 were uniquely increased in SLE patients. Notably, TNF-α showed the most significant increase in SLE patients. IL-4 was elevated in SLE patients with nephritis, correlating with IL-6, IL-10, sCD40L, and IL-8, suggesting B cell involvement in lupus nephritis. The negative correlation between CX3CL1 and TNF-α with HDL in RA and SLE respectively, highlights the potential association of these inflammatory markers with cardiovascular risk. These findings underscore the complex cytokine interplay in RA and SLE. CX3CL1 emerges as a potential therapeutic target for RA, while TNF-α and IL-4 show promise as therapeutic targets for SLE.

Spinocerebellar ataxias (SCAs) are a diverse group of hereditary neurodegenerative disorders characterized by progressive degeneration of the cerebellum and other parts of the nervous system. In this study, we examined the genotypeâphenotype correlations in SCAs within the Brazilian population by leveraging a comprehensive dataset of 763 individuals from SARAH Network of Rehabilitation Hospitals. Using a retrospective, cross-sectional, observational, multicentric approach, we analysed medical records and conducted standardized molecular testing to explore epidemiological characteristics, clinical manifestations, and genetic profiles of SCAs in Brazil. Our findings revealed the predominance of SCA3, followed by SCA7 and SCA2, which aligns with global trends and reflects the specific genetic landscape of Brazil. A significant inverse relationship between the age of symptom onset and CAG repeat length in the mutated allele was observed across SCAs 2, 3, and 7. This study also highlights a trend towards paternal inheritance in SCA2 and details the distribution of CAG repeat expansions, which correlates larger expansions with earlier onset and specific symptomatology. This extensive analysis underscores the critical importance of genetic testing in the diagnosis and management of SCAs and enlightens the intricate genotypeâphenotype interplay within a genetically diverse population. Despite certain limitations, such as potential selection bias and the retrospective nature of the study, our research provides invaluable insights into the prevalence, genetic underpinnings, and clinical variability of SCAs in Brazil. We suggest a broader demographic scope and investigations into nonmotor symptoms in future studies to obtain a more comprehensive understanding of SCAs.

BACKGROUND: Lower limb coronal alignment was thought to be a predictive factor for Unicompartmental Knee Arthroplasty (UKA) result. The tibial bony resection and implant position lead to joint line change postoperatively. Analysis was done to find out the correlation between these factors. METHODS: From 2019 to 2021, 90 medial Oxford UKA were implanted by a single surgeon. Hip Knee Ankle Angle (HKAA), Lateral Distal Femoral Angle (LDFA), Medial Proximal Tibial Angle (MPTA), and intraoperative bony resection thickness were measured. The medial joint line change was calculated. The correlation between joint line change and alignment change was evaluated. RESULTS: The mean tibial resection thickness was 4.3 mm. The mean tibial joint line was elevated by 2.3 mm, while the mean femoral joint line proximalized by 0.8 mm. HKAA changed from 8.4° varus preoperatively to 3.6° varus postoperatively. LDFA changed from 89.0° to 86.7°. MPTA changed from 85.6° to 86.6°. Preoperative HKAA showed a strong correlation with postoperative HKAA (p < 0.001), and preoperative MPTA showed a positive correlation with postoperative HKAA (p < 0.001). While preoperative LDFA had a negative correlation with postoperative HKAA (p < 0.001). The femoral joint line change and LDFA change had a significant correlation with HKAA change (p < 0.05). CONCLUSION: The change of joint line had no correlation with postoperative HKAA in Oxford UKA. Preoperative HKAA strongly correlated with postoperative HKAA; while preoperative smaller LDFA and larger MPTA had a moderate correlation with postoperative HKAA. The femoral joint line change and LDFA change had a weak to moderate correlation with HKAA change.

Wood is a versatile material extensively utilized across industries due to its low density, favorable mechanical properties, and environmental benefits. However, despite considerable research, the diversity in species with varying compositions and properties remains insufficiently explored, particularly for native woods. A deeper understanding of these differences is crucial for optimizing their industrial applications. This study investigated the composition, tensile strength, flexural strength, Young's modulus, bending stiffness and elongation at break, thermal behavior, and viscoelastic properties of three Brazilian native wood species: Araucaria angustifolia (ARA), Dipterix odorata (DOD), and Tabeuia ochracea (TOC). The density of these woods showed a linear correlation with mechanical properties such as Young's modulus (0.9) and flexural modulus (0.9). The research revealed a linear correlation between the woods' density and mechanical properties, with lignin content emerging as a key determinant of thermal stability. This study highlights the importance of understanding wood species' composition and physical properties, and provides valuable insights into their behavior.

INTRODUCTION: Reports regarding the correlation and effect size of change of the full spectrum of quality of life and disease severity measures applied in-person to patients with atopic dermatitis are scarce. OBJECTIVES: To assess quality-of-life with 3 different instruments and to evaluate disease severity indices and to determine their correlation and effect size of change between two measurements. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Patient-level data were obtained through two in-person visits. Sociodemographic information and data related to disease distribution, severity (through the BSA, EASI, SCORAD, POEM, and itching scales), and the impact of atopic dermatitis on quality of life using the DLQI and Skindex-29, and EQ-5D, were assessed. The correlation between change in quality-of-life scores and disease severity scores in addition to the standardized effect size were also evaluated. RESULTS: Only 139 out of 212 patients completed the follow-up visit. BSA highly correlated with SCORAD and EASI, and the lowest correlation was found with POEM. The best correlation of pruritus VAS was found with sleep disturbance. The SCORAD score highly correlated with EASI, and the lowest correlation was found with POEM. The magnitude of the effect at initiation of the study vs follow-up was in average moderate to important. CONCLUSIONS: Patients with atopic dermatitis experience a substantial burden on quality of life. Disease activity correlates better with quality-of-life measurements when the disease is less severe after starting therapy. POEM and Skindex-29 seem to be optimal to determine disease severity and quality of life in adults with atopic dermatitis.
Introducción: La información publicada sobre la correlación entre la magnitud del efecto de todo el espectro de la calidad de vida y la gravedad de la enfermedad en pacientes con dermatitis atópica es escasa. Objetivos: Evaluar la calidad de vida con tres instrumentos diferentes y los índices de gravedad de la enfermedad en pacientes con dermatitis atópica para determinar su correlación y el tamaño del efecto del cambio. Materiales y métodos: Los datos de los pacientes se obtuvieron a partir de dos visitas. Resultados: Solo 139 de los 212 pacientes completaron la visita de seguimiento. El área de superficie corporal se correlacionó fuertemente con el SCORAD y el EASI, y la correlación más débil fue con el POEM. La mejor correlación del prurito medido con la escala visual análoga se halló con la alteración del sueño. El puntaje SCORAD se correlacionó altamente con el EASI mientras que la correlación más baja se encontró con el POEM. La magnitud del efecto al inicio del estudio respecto al seguimiento fue en promedio de moderada a importante. Conclusiones: Los pacientes con dermatitis atópica experimentan una carga sustancial en la calidad de vida. La actividad de la enfermedad se correlaciona mejor con las mediciones de calidad de vida cuando esta es menos grave, después de comenzar la terapia. Los índices POEM y Skindex-29 parecen ser óptimos para determinar la gravedad de la enfermedad y la calidad de vida en adultos con dermatitis atópica.

The binuclear paddle-wheel copper(II) complex tetrakis(µ-3,4-diethoxybenzoato-κ2O:O')bis[(ethanol-κO)copper(II)], [Cu2(C11H13O4)4(C2H6O)2], has been synthesized and characterized. In each molecule, two CuII centres are bridged in a syn-syn fashion by four equatorial 3,4-diethoxybenzoate ligands, the two axial positions being occupied by ethanol molecules. The thermal stability has been studied by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) techniques. The magnetic behaviour, studied by SQUID magnetometry, shows a CuII-CuII antiferromagnetic exchange interaction with 2J = -288â cm-1, a value that fits with a magnetic structure correlation established for compounds of this kind.

Fire occurrence, intensity, and spread are highly influenced by climatic variables. This study investigates the correlation between burned area, precipitation, and temperature in Rondônia, an agricultural frontier in the southwestern Brazilian Legal Amazon, from 2001 to 2022. The analysis utilized climatological data from the Climate Hazards Group InfraRed Precipitation with Station (CHIRPS) and MODIS product MOD11A1.061 for temperature, along with MODIS product MCD64A1 for burned area. The study was conducted on a monthly scale, employing the cross-correlation function to determine the lagged effects of temperature and precipitation on burned areas. Trend analysis was performed using the Mann-Kendall test, with the magnitude of trends estimated by Sen's Slope. Results indicated a significant negative correlation between burned areas and precipitation, with a 2-month lag and an R2 of - 0.51. In contrast, temperature exhibited a significant positive correlation with burned areas, showing a 1-month lag and an R2 of 0.55. Trend analysis revealed a decrease in precipitation by - 0.0542 mm.month-1, temperature increased by 0.006 °C.month-1, while burned areas decreased by - 111.13 km2.month-1. These findings underscore the intricate relationship between climate variables and fire occurrences, highlighting the urgent need for policies addressing climate change and environmental degradation in the Amazon.

OBJECTIVE: To explore the risk factors of Atrial Fibrillation (AF) with Cognitive Impairment (CI) and to analyze the relationship between cardiac function parameters and the degree of CI in patients. METHODS: 120 AF patients were selected, and Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) was used to distinguish between AF patients with and without CI. Univariate analysis and multivariate Logistic regression analysis were used to evaluate the impact of sociodemographic data, disease-related data, and clinical data on risk factors for AF with CI. Pearson's method was used to analyze the correlation between cardiac function parameters and cognitive function scores in AF patients. RESULTS: There were 89 patients with CI and 31 patients without CI, and the MoCA scores of patients with CI were lower than those in patients without CI. Age, occupational status, educational level, combined smoking history, drinking history, and heart failure, as well as systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, total cholesterol, triglyceride, C-reactive protein, free thyroxine, free triiodothyronine, and D-dimer were risk factors for the patient with CI. Left atrial diameter, left ventricular end-diastolic diameter, left ventricular end-systolic diameter, and left atrial maximum volume in patients with CI were higher than those in patients without CI, and left ventricular ejection fraction and peak early diastolic velocity/peak late-diastolic mitral velocity ratio were lower. CONCLUSION: The cardiac function parameters of patients are closely related to attention, orientation, memory, visuospatial, and executive ability. Cardiac function parameters were closely related to cognitive functions.

CONTEXT: Analytic exchange-correlation kernel formulations are of the outermost importance for density functional theory (DFT) perturbation calculations. In this paper, the working equation for the exchange-correlation kernel of the generalized gradient approximation (GGA) for perturbation dependent auxiliary functions is derived and discussed in the framework of auxiliary density functional theory (ADFT). The presented new formulation is extended to the unrestricted approach, too. A comprehensive discussion of the implementation of the GGA ADFT kernel, using either the native exchange-correlation functional implementations in deMon2k or the ones from the LibXC library, is given. Calculations with analytic exchange-correlation kernels are compared to their finite difference counterparts. The obtained results are in quantitative agreement. Nevertheless, analytic GGA ADFT kernel implementations show substantial improvement in the computational performance. Similar results are reported for analytic second derivatives of effective core potential (ECP) and model core potential (MCP) matrix elements when compared to their finite difference counterparts in molecular frequency analyses. METHOD: All calculations are performed in the framework of ADFT as implemented in deMon2k. In the ADFT analytic frequency calculations, auxiliary density perturbation theory was used. The underlying two-center exchange-correlation kernel matrix elements are calculated by numerical integration either with analytic or finite difference kernel expressions. Validation calculations are performed with the VWN and PBE functionals employing DFT-optimized DZVP basis sets in conjunction with automatically generated GEN-A2 auxiliary density function sets. In the (Pt3Cu)n cluster benchmark calculations, the RPBE functional was used. For Pt atoms, the quasi-relativistic LANL2DZ effective core potential with the corresponding valence basis set was employed, whereas for Cu atoms, the all-electron DFT-optimized TZVP basis was applied. The auxiliary density was expanded by the automatically generated GEN-A2* auxiliary function set. We run all benchmark calculations in parallel on 24 cores.

A customized digital image correlation (DIC) system was implemented to monitor the strain produced in a cold-rolled AL-6XN stainless steel plate, 3.0 mm thick, subjected to quasi-static and cyclic loading tests. A comparison of the DIC strain measurements was made against those provided by conventional extensometers. Furthermore, the DIC system was used to monitor the fatigue crack initiation in low-cycle fatigue tests. The true stress-strain behavior for the AL-6XN material was properly captured by the DIC measurements. For low-cycle fatigue tests (strain control), the strain mapping generated by DIC allowed for identifying zones with higher strain than the nominal strain amplitude applied (εa) since the first stages of the fatigue life (FL). These zones become potential fatigue crack initiation sites.

Accurate transverse deformation measurements are required for the estimation of the Poisson function and volume ratio. In this study, pure silicone and soft composite specimens were subjected to uniaxial tension, and the digital image correlation method was used to measure longitudinal and in- and out-of-plane transverse stretches. To minimize the effects of measurement errors on parameter estimation, the measured transverse stretches were defined in terms of the longitudinal stretch using a new formulation based on Poisson's ratios and two stretch-dependent parameters. From this formulation, Poisson functions and volume ratio for soft materials under large deformations were obtained. The results showed that pure silicone can be considered isotropic and nearly incompressible under large deformations, as expected. In contrast, Poisson's ratio of silicone reinforced with extensible fabric can exceed classical bounds, including negative value (auxetic behavior). The incompressibility assumption can be employed for describing the stress-stretch curve of pure silicone, while volume ratios are required for soft composites. Data of human skin, aortic wall, and annulus fibrosus from the literature were selected and analyzed. Except for the aortic wall, which can be considered nearly incompressible, the studied soft tissues must be regarded as compressible. All tissues presented anisotropic behavior.

OBJECTIVES: To analyze the differences in cusp height on radiographs, establishing proportional relationships between cusp and alveolar bone crest (ABC) measurements. The goal of this study was to develop a correction coefficient by considering this proportion. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Twenty-one artificial teeth, molars and premolars, and bovine ribs were used. Interproximal radiographs were taken with the aid of a positioner. The vertical angles used were: 0°, + 5°, and + 10°, and processed using three spatial resolutions measured in line pairs per mm (lp/mm): 20, 25 and 40. The Perio filter was applied to each image, in addition to the original one. Combinations of angle, resolution, and filter were made. Eighteen images were analyzed by three specialists, resulting in 252 measurements for each evaluator, totaling 756 measurements. RESULTS: The overall variability of the measurements can be explained mainly by the variation in tooth anatomy. The 0° 25 lp/mm Perio filter method was the closest one to the actual clinical scenario for both cusps and ABC. The correction factor managed to explain 71.45% of the errors. CONCLUSIONS: The variation in vertical angulation interferes with cusp and ABC measurements, and the angulation at 0º and spatial resolution of 25 lp/mm showed better results. The use of correction coefficients allowed approaching actual measurement values. CLINICAL RELEVANCE: More accurate ABC height measurements are essential even in radiographic exams that do not meet the standard of excellence because the need to repeat radiographic exams is then eliminated.

The performance differences in cassava genotypes arising from genotype vs. environment interactions (G × E) often lead to responses that are significantly lower than expected for selection. The objective of this study was to evaluate different stability methods, both parametric and non-parametric, such as additive main-effects and multiplicative interaction (AMMI), main effect of genotypes plus G × E (GGE), and weighted average of absolute scores (WAASB), in order to quantify the G × E in multi-environmental trials. A total of 12 genotypes were assessed across 12 environments using a completely randomized block design, with three replicates for traits such as fresh root yield (FRY) and dry matter content in the roots (DMC). The data were subjected to analysis of variance and the Scott Knott test (p < 0.05). The sum of squares (SQ) of genotypes, environment, and G × E effects were equally distributed for FRY, whereas for DMC, these effects accounted for 64.1%, 21.9%, and 13.8% of the SQ, respectively, indicating a lower environmental effect on this characteristic. Using the AMMI, GGE, and WAASB methods, genotypes with high agronomic performance and stability for FRY (BR11-34-41 and BR11-34-69) (> 32 t ha-1) and DMC (BRS Novo Horizonte, BR12-107-002, and BR11-24-156) (> 37%) were identified. The broad-sense heritability ( h 2 ) for FRY and DMC was estimated to be 0.45 and 0.75, respectively. Approximately 72% of the methods identified BRS Novo Horizonte as the genotype with the highest stability and performance for DMC, while 47% identified genotypes BR11-34-41 and BR11-34-69 for FRY and intermediate DMC. Genotype BR11-24-156 exhibited high static stability according to 50% of the methods. Significant correlations were observed between stability and agronomic performance across the different methods, enabling the formation of groups based on stability concepts. Additionally, it was found that two mega-environments existed for FRY, whereas DMC displayed a single mega-environment with similar patterns, indicating an absence of G × E. We identified superior genotypes that could be promoted to national performance trials to develop stable cultivars with better yield attributes in cassava. The presence of pharmaceuticals in wastewater resulting from human activities has driven researchers to explore effective treatment methods such as adsorption using activated carbon (AC). While AC shows promise as an adsorbent, further studies are essential to comprehend its entire interaction with pharmaceuticals. This article investigates the adsorption of potassium diclofenac (PD) onto AC using experimental and modeling approaches. Batch adsorption studies coupled with Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) were employed to clarify the adsorption mechanism of PD on AC. Various kinetic and isotherm adsorption models were applied to analyze the adsorbent-adsorbate interaction. The kinetics were best described by Avrami's fractional order (AFO) nonlinear model. Also, the intraparticle diffusion (IP) model reveals a three-stage adsorption process. The experimental equilibrium data fitted well with the three-parameter nonlinear Liu model, indicating a maximum adsorption capacity (Qmax) of 88.45 mg g-1 and suggesting monolayer or multilayer adsorption. Thermodynamic analysis showed favorable adsorption (ΔG° < 0), with an enthalpy change (ΔH° = -30.85 kJ mol-1) characteristic of physisorption involving hydrogen bonds and π-π interactions. The adsorption mechanism was attributed to forming a double layer (adsorbate-adsorbent and adsorbate-adsorbate).

In Mexico, there is a deficit in the production of pine resin, because it relies on natural forests only. Therefore, it is necessary to select provenances and phenotypes of potential species such as P. oocarpa. The objective was to determine the difference between provenances and the variation in resin components and quality, as well as the effect of geographic and climatic factors. Resin from five provenances was collected from southern Mexico. The percentage of rosin, turpentine and water was obtained, as well as the acidity and saponification index. P. oocarpa resin had 80.94% rosin, 7.7% turpentine and 11.49% water. The saponification and acidity index was 125.47 and 117.49 mg KOH.g-1, respectively. All variables showed differences (p ≤ 0.0001) between provenances. The provenance contributed between 6.44 and 11.71% to the total variance, the error contributed between 88.29 and 93.56%. Geographic and climatic variables only had an effect on the percentage of turpentine; the correlation was negative with altitude and longitude, but positive with temperature and precipitation. The results allow defining seed collection sites for resin plantations and orienting the selection for a P. oocarpa improvement program.

BACKGROUND: Pompe Disease (PD) is a metabolic myopathy caused by variants in the GAA gene, resulting in deficient enzymatic activity. We aimed to characterize the clinical features and related genetic variants in a series of Mexican patients. METHODS: We performed a retrospective study of clinical records of patients diagnosed with LOPD, IOPD or pseudodeficiency. RESULTS: Twenty-nine patients were included in the study, comprising these three forms. Overall, age of symptom onset was 0.1 to 43 years old. The most frequent variant identified was c.-32-13T>G, which was detected in 14 alleles. Among the 23 different variants identified in the GAA gene, 14 were classified as pathogenic, 5 were likely pathogenic, and 1 was a variant of uncertain significance. Two variants were inherited in cis arrangement and 2 were pseudodeficiency-related benign alleles. We identified two novel variants (c.1615 G>A and c.1076-20_1076-4delAAGTCGGCGTTGGCCTG). CONCLUSION: To the best of our knowledge, this series represent the largest phenotypic and genotypic characterization of patients with PD in Mexico. Patients within our series exhibited a combination of LOPD and IOPD associated variants, which may be related to genetic diversity within Mexican population. Further population-wide studies are required to better characterize the incidence of this disease in Mexican population.

Background: social support is important for adaptation in chronic diseases, such as diabetes and depression, because it favors recovery and adherence to treatment. Introducing its evaluation in the follow-up of diabetic patients can reduce complications derived from secondary non-adherence. Aims: to establish social support in diabetic patients and its correlation with depressive symptoms. Methods: a cross-sectional analytical study nested in a cohort of 173 recently diagnosed diabetic patients (<6 months) in Colombia over 18 years of age, treated in a cardiovascular risk program in 2022. The Chronic Illness Social Support Inventory was used. Results: Most of the participants were women (77.5%); single(83.8%), age (mean = 62.6 years (SD 12.3)); glycemia (mean = 146.4 (SD 65.5)), glycosylated hemoglobin (mean = 7.6 (SD 1.7)). Cronbach's α coefficient for the general scale of the social support instrument was 0.9859. The mean social support was 168.5 (SD 37.4), range 38-228. The total social support score was normally distributed (Shapiro Wilk p > 0.05). The correlation between domains was statistically significant. The PHQ9 total score was significantly associated with the domains of Personal Interaction and Guide but did not significantly correlate with the overall social support score. The respondents who were at risk of developing depression were referred for treatment. Conclusions: findings suggest that perceived social support may play a significant role in the prevention and treatment of depression in diabetic patients. It is desirable that health professionals consider evaluating and enhancing social support to improve their mental health. More research is needed to gain a comprehensive understanding of this relationship.
