RESUMO

BACKGROUND: We investigated the interference of vitamin C (VitC), glycerol fructose, lipoprotein X (LpX) and lipemia on the analysis of serum lipids. METHODS: Serum were collected from 44 patients with VitC infusion, serum lipid concentrations before and after VitC auto-oxidation were compared. Serum of 31 patients with glycerol fructose infusion were collected, triglycerides (TG) measured by glycerol blanking and non-blanking reagents were compared. Forty-four serum samples suspected to contain LpX were collected, LDL-C measured by reagents from five manufacturers were compared. Lipemia samples were collected, LDL-C measured using five different reagents were compared. The interference rate was considered unacceptable if it was greater than 1/2 total allowable error (TEa). RESULTS: In patients with VitC infusion, the interference rates of TG and total cholesterol (TC) were -59% (-123%, -28%) and -15% (-21%, -11%), respectively. In patients with glycerol fructose infusion, the interference rate of TG was 13% (4%, 113%). LpX interference led to increased LDL-C results for most reagents. Lipemia caused great interference with LDL-C analysis. CONCLUSION: VitC, glycerol fructose, LpX and lipemia significantly interfered with lipid assays. The reagent formulation should be improved to get reliable results.

RESUMO

Effect of submucosal injection of normal saline and glycerol fructose on endoscopic polypectomy in patients with colorectal polyps was investigated. A total of 275 patients with colorectal polyps were enrolled in this study and underwent endoscopic gastrointestinal polypectomy in Qingdao Chengyang People's Hospital from March 2013 to December 2016. Among them, 150 patients who underwent submucosal injection of glycerol fructose were set as the experimental group, and 125 patients who underwent submucosal injection of normal saline were set as the control group. The surgery conditions, complications and recurrence rates were compared between the two groups. The time of processing polyps and the total surgery time in the experimental group were shorter than those in the control group (P<0.05). The number of repeated injections in the experimental group was less than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The amount of fluid and propofol injected in patients of the experimental group was significantly lower than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The en bloc resection rate (EBRR) and complete resection rate (CRR) in the experimental group were 68.0 and 48.0%, respectively. EBRR and CRR in the control group were 49.6 and 27.2%, respectively. EBRR and CRR in the experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). After follow-up of the patients for 3 months, there was no significant difference in the recurrence rate between the two groups (P>0.05). The results indicated that endoscopic colorectal polypectomy with glycerol fructose as a submucosal injection can shorten the time of surgery, reduce the number of repeated injections, reduce the amount of fluid and propofol, and also improve EBRR and CRR.

RESUMO

The aim of the present study is to investigate whether glycerol fructose combined with vitamin B6 is beneficial to the postoperative recovery of patients with cerebral aneurysm (CA). A total of 134 patients receiving embolization of CA in the Central Hospital of Wuhan between February, 2013 and June, 2015 and were divided into observation and control groups according to the random number table method, with 67 cases in each group. The control was given vitamin B6 routine treatment, while the observation group received glycerol fructose on the basis of treatment in the control group. The incidence rate of postoperative complications after treatment, Glasgow coma scale (GCS) score, Barthel index score, and neurological fatigue index (NFI) score were compared between the two groups. After treatment, the GCS, Barthel index and NFI scores of patients in the observation were better than those in the control group (p<0.05), and the Barthel index score in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group (p<0.01). The mean flow velocity of middle cerebral artery (MCA) in the observation group after treatment was significantly different from that in the control group (p<0.05). As for complications, the incidence rates of postoperative cerebral vasospasm (1.49%), cerebral ischemia (1.49%), hematoma at puncture site (2.98%) and aneurysm rupture and hemorrhage (4.47%) in the observation group were lower than those of cerebral vasospasm (8.95%), cerebral ischemia (7.46%), hematoma at puncture site (8.95%) and aneurysm rupture and hemorrhage (10.44%) in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (p<0.05). In conclusion, glycerol fructose combined with vitamin B6 can reduce the incidence rate of postoperative complications and improve patients self-care ability and quality of life. Therefore, it is beneficial to postoperative recovery and it is worthy of clinical application.

RESUMO

Objective To study the effect of glycerin fructose combined with mannitol in the treatment of postoperative swelling of extremities fractures. Methods In Yiwu Central Hospital from February 2015 to February 2017 treated 100 cases of limb fracture surgery patients as the research object in the course of the study, were randomly divided into control group and experimental group two were 50 cases each. The patients in control group were treated with mannitol after fracture surgery, and the patients in the experimental group were treated with glycerol fructose and mannitol.Comparative analysis of the experimental group and control group of patients with limb swelling degree. Results After different treatment, the experimental group of patients with adverse reactions occurred in 0 cases, the probability was 0.0%, the control group of patients with adverse reactions in the number of cases in the case of the number of patients with adverse reaction probability of 10.0%, the number of patients with adverse reactions in the control group was 5.As a result, the incidence of adverse reactions in the experimental group was significantly lower than that in the control group, with statistical difference(P<0.05).In the experimental group, 6 days after surgery, on the 7 day, the 8 day and the 9 day, the forearm circumference was significantly lower than that of the control group, with statistical difference(P<0.05).On the 8 day after surgery and after 8 days, the leg circumference of the experimental group was significantly lower than that of the control group, with statistical difference(P<0.05).Conclusion The clinical effect of glycerol and fructose combined with mannitol in treatment of limb swelling after surgery for fracture, high safety, reduce the probability of occurrence of adverse reactions to a great extent, is further applied in clinical significance.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE:To explore the general rules and characteristics of ADR/ADE induced by Glycerol fructose injection and provide reference for clinical ration drug use. METHODS:284 cases of ADR/ADE induced by Glycerol fructose injection from Jan. 2004 to Oct. 2014 in Drug ADR Monitoring Center of Henan Province were statistically analyzed and comparatively analyzed with the drug instructions in 11 domestic drug manufacturing enterprises. RESULTS:ADR/ADE induced by Glycerol fructose injec-tion was related to gender, mainly adult male, and ADR/ADE might occurred within 30 min;main clinical manifestations were skin and its appendages damages, medication site damage and systemic damage. There were larger differences among the notes de-scription in the package inserts from 11 drug manufact urers. CONCLUSIONS:The clinic should strengthen the monitoring of ADR/ADE induced by Glycerol fructose injection, try to avoid or reduce the incidence of ADR,improve the drug instructions and ensure medication safety.
