RESUMO

Objectives: In this study, we analyzed the metabonomics of intermingled phlegm and blood stasis (IPBS) and its three concurrent syndromes in patients with stable angina pectoris of coronary heart disease. Methods: A total of 164 sera of separated outpatients from 12 national tradition Chinese medicine clinical research centers with IPBS or concurrent syndromes were collected for the study and assessed with LC-ESI-MS/MS (liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization tandem-mass spectrometry)-based metabolomics and multivariate statistical analysis. Results: Non-differential metabolites between IPBS and its separate syndrome combined with the top 100 most abundant metabolites in four groups were screened to reflect the essence of IPBS. Amino acid and its metabolomics and glycerol phospholipids were screened for common metabolites, and these metabolites were mainly enriched in valine, leucine, and isoleucine metabolism and glycerophospholipid metabolism. Principal component analysis revealed that the difference between IPBS and its separate concurrent syndromes was not distinct. Compared with IPBS, anserine, cytidine 5'-diphosphocholine, and 7,8-dihydro-L-biopterin separately significant increase in phlegm stasis and toxin (PST), phlegm stasis and Qi stagnation (PQS), and phlegm stasis and Qi deficiency (PQD). While these different metabolites were associated with histidine metabolism, beta-alanine metabolism, glycerophospholipid metabolism, and folate biosynthesis. Three accurate identification models were obtained to identify the difference between IPBS and its concurrent syndromes. Conclusion: Our study indicated that valine, leucine, and isoleucine metabolism and glycerophospholipid metabolism could represent the essence of IPBS; dysregulated metabolites were valuable in identifying PST from IPBS.

RESUMO

This study was conducted to investigate the effects of Danlou (correspondence between prescription and syndrome) tablet and Shengmai capsule (non-correspondence between prescription and syndrome) on mini-swine phlegm-stasis syndrome of coronary heart disease (CHD). 24 mini-swines were randomly divided into normal control group, model group, Danlou tablet group (0.24 g·kg-1) and Shengmai capsule group (0.14 g·kg-1). Phlegm-stasis syndrome of coronary heart disease was established by high-fat feeding and coronary intervention balloon injury. After 8 weeks of administration, blood lipid levels and blood rheology was detected. Echocardiography was used to examine the changes in heart function, and the extent of infarction was determined by nitro blue tetrazolium (NBT) staining method. The main symptoms, accompanied symptoms, tongue and pulse signs of the coronary heart disease mini-swine with phlegm-stasis syndrome were observed according to the symptom-graded scoring method. The results showed that Danlou tablet decreased serum total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG) and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) (P P P P P P P P P P P P < 0.05). However, Shengmai capsule failed to show therapeutic effects on blood lipid metabolism, the myocardial infarction area and primary symptom and syndrome score. The results suggest that as a drug for the treatment of Qi and Yin deficiency syndrome of CHD, Danlou tablet has limited therapeutic effects on phlegm-stasis syndrome of CHD. Only by the prescription correspondence with syndrome, using drug for the treatment of phlegm-stasis syndrome of CHD to treat phlegm-stasis syndrome of CHD, the prescription has a comprehensive therapeutic effect.

RESUMO

ObjectiveToestablisharatmodelofatherosclerosiscombinedwithsyndromeofintermingledphlegm and blood stasis , to observe the inflammatory reactions and the treatment effect of prescription ( Danlou tablet ) on the rat model. Methods Thirty-two healthy male SD rats were randomly and equally divided into four groups , namely, normal control group, model control group, atorvastatin group (ATV group), and Danlou group (DLP group). The normal control group was given basic forage , while other three groups were given high fat forage plus intraperitoneal injection of vitamin D 3 and balloon injury of the left common carotid artery to build rat atherosclerosis model combined with syndrome of intermingled phlegm and blood stasis , and then received intragastric administration of saline , atorvastatin suspension and Danlou tablets suspension for 4 weeks, respectively. After intervention, both serum lipid and hs-CRP, IL-6, TNF-α, and LP-PLA2 levels were determined by ELISA , pathological alterations in the thoracic aorta was analyzed using HE staining , the expressions of IL-6, TNF-αand LP-PLA2 mRNA in the thoracic aorta tissue were assessed by real-time fluorescent quantitativePCRtechnology. Results ①Comparedwiththenormalcontrolgroup,thereweresignificantincreasesin serum TC, LDL-C, hs-CRP, IL-6, TNF-α, and LP-PLA2 levels (P0.05).There were also reduced aortic intimal hyperplasia , macrophage infiltration and plaque area compared with those of the model group .Conclusions Rat model of atherosclerosis combined with syndrome of intermingled phlegm and blood stasis can be established by high fat diet feeding combined with the intraperitoneal injection of vitamin D 3 and balloon injury of carotid artery .The prescription ( Danlou tablet ) can inhibit the inflammatory reaction and ameliorate atherosclerotic changes in the rat models .

RESUMO

ObjectiveTo observe the clinical efficacy ofelectroacupunctureplustopical laser treatmentin treating hyperplasia of mammary glands.MethodFifty-eight patients with hyperplasia of mammary glands were randomized into a treatment group of 30 cases and a control group of 28 cases. The treatment group was intervened byelectroacupunctureplustopical laser treatment, while the controlgroup was by oral administration of Ru Zeng Ning tablets. The intervention began from 15 d prior to the menstrual period. After 3 successive treatment courses, the clinical efficacies were compared, and the efficacies in treating three different patterns of mammary glands hyperplasia were also compared, i.e. qi-stagnation due to liver depression, accumulation of phlegm and stagnation, and imbalance of the Thoroughfare and Conception Vessels.ResultAccording to the comprehensive efficacy evaluation, the total effective rate was 86.7% in the treatment group versus 57.1% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P0.05).ConclusionElectroacupunctureplustopical laser treatmentis effective in treating hyperplasia of mammary glands, especially for the type of qi-stagnation due to liver depression.

RESUMO

This article introduced Professor WENG Li-li’s experience in treating acne. She held that the following four principles should be obeyed during the treatment course: determination of treatment based on syndrome differentiation, application of drugs based on essence of disease; stopping using clearing heat and detoxicating when it achieved therapeutic effect; resolving method was the main method for syndrome of intermingled phlegm and blood stasis; weighing the main and secondary of excess and deficiency.
