OBJECTIVE: The aim: To study relationship peculiarities between the manifestations of professional maladaptation of interns with their value and meaningful sphere of life for developing preventive measures to preserve their health and reduce the outflow of medical personnel from Ukraine. PATIENTS AND METHODS: Materials and methods: The study has involved 81 male and female interns. The following methods were used: diagnostic, psychological, analysis, relation¬ships, comparison, systematization and mathematical statistics. RESULTS: Results: Manifestations of professional maladaptation of interns were revealed. The peculiarities of the relationship between the manifestations of professional maladaptation of interns with their meaningful sphere of life are presented. Developed, tested and implemented effective measures for preventing professional burnout and maladaptation are presented. CONCLUSION: Conclusions: The expediency of providing psychological knowledge in the program of education of interns, as well as the introduction of mandatory psycholog¬ical support in the institutions of higher medical education are proved. These measures will contribute to future doctor's deeper psychological self-knowledge, self-development, self-regulation of their own behavior and emotions, keeping a healthy lifestyle and effective work to strengthen the state.

The issue of performance in education is always topical because it plays an important role in creating the most valuable resource: labor. It has been treated both from a scientific and practical point of view through numerous strategies and optimization techniques, being integrated with the strategies for educational development as a training system at a global level. This research aimed to identify the need for performance and assessed the theoretical and practical dimensions of the European gap in performance in education, given the impact of the global crisis. The analysis was based on a structured questionnaire that is part of a pilot research in which 130 teachers and school managers from Romania and 97 teachers and school managers from five other European countries participated. The results of the study will allow the identification of the human resource's theoretical paradigm and the practical mentality in the education system to improve performance, which the authors propose to use to identify concrete applicable measures in the short term.

Teachers' job happiness in private universities is an important element for the healthy and orderly development of universities and an inevitable requirement for the construction of university faculty, and it has become a hot topic of research in the field of private higher education at present. However, there is still a lack of empirical studies on the factors influencing job happiness in private universities. This study constructs a theoretical model between professional identity, job competence, professional motivation, professional prospects, perceived fairness, job achievements and job happiness, and explores the specific drivers of teachers' job happiness in private universities based on empirical research. The results of the data analysis showed that professional identity, job competence, professional prospects, perceived fairness, job achievements, and professional motivation all had significant effects on teachers' job happiness, and the effects were decreasing. This study examined the effects of job happiness in practice in private universities, which helped private universities to enhance teachers' professional identity, strengthen organizational support for teacher development, promote teachers' teaching ability, improve job competence, and build a developmental teacher evaluation mechanism.

The article discusses such issues of current state of staffing in medical sector as availability of health care system specialists, training programs for applicants to medical educational organizations and post-graduate programs for specialists, professional motivation and job prospects for graduates, prospects for development of medical education and training. In addition to professional sphere, modern health care system is also a market for medical services, which, according to expert estimates, is about 10 trillion US dollars per year. The participants in the field of medical services are not only organizations that provide medical care, but also manufacturers of medical equipment and medications. The medical sphere can't to effectively develop isolated from social structure. The staffing in medical field requires, along with professional motivation and job prospects in order to attract specialists in the field of medicine, and provide social support for their retention. The students entering medical university need decent salary after graduation and favorable conditions for further progression in professional field.

RESUMO

The article deals with changes in the human resources potential in the Russian health care system, which are the result of the reform of the medical sphere carried out in recent years. The COVID-19 pandemic, which began in early 2020, exposed significant shortcomings of the Russian healthcare reform, showing serious problems in the shortage of specialists, hospital beds, protective equipment, ventilators, tests, and medicines. The reduction of hospital beds and the number of infectious diseases doctors in order to increase the average salary in healthcare has led to the inability of the Russian healthcare system to cope with the spread of coronavirus infection without involving residents, professors, teachers and students of medical organizations. At the present stage of development, the issues of combating the spread of coronavirus infection, mobilization and professional training of medical workers are of particular relevance. Nevertheless, despite the results of the health care reform, which led to a massive reduction of medical organizations in our country, the number of doctors per 10,000 people in 2018 was 47.9 employees, over the past 20 years, has not changed much in the direction of reduction. In our view, we should not talk about a global reduction in human resources in healthcare. The existing personnel problems in healthcare are the low qualification of medical personnel and the General shortage of specialists in the labor market.

RESUMEN En la formación de profesionales de la salud los docentes deberán desarrollar la motivación de sus educandos, como parte primordial del proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje, e intervenir de manera efectiva en la formación intelectual y creación de valores, indispensables para el desarrollo de su profesión. Se formuló como objetivo analizar algunas consideraciones en la preparación profesoral para el desarrollo de la motivación profesional en estudiantes de la carrera de Medicina. Se reflexionó sobre la escasa formación pedagógica de los docentes, en su totalidad graduados en Medicina, lo que dificulta la capacidad de los mismos para desarrollar la motivación profesional de sus estudiantes.


ABSTRACT In the health professionals´ training, the teaching staff should develop motivation in students, as a main part of the teaching-learning process, and take effective part in the intellectual training and the formation of values that are essential for their professional development. The aim was analyzing some considerations on the professional training for the development of the professional motivation in students of Medicine studies. We though over the scarce pedagogical training of the teaching staff, all of them graduated from Medicine studies, what difficult their competence for developing the professional motivation of the students.

BACKGROUND: A better understanding of the conditions under which performance indicators can be used to improve accountability for outcomes and promote quality improvement could help policy-makers develop more effective performance management systems. One problem is the lack of conceptual models and empirical data that describe the processes through which different approaches use data together with other incentives to influence motivation. DISCUSSION: Drawing on the performance governance and quality improvement literature, we developed a framework that distinguishes between the practice of using information to verify levels of performance in market-oriented performance management approaches and using indicators to monitor and promote improvement through building capacity for using data in service and professional networks. The framework explores how performance indicators are deployed and used in the different approaches to enact accountability or stimulate motivation for improvement and articulates the types of system architecture and processes needed to advance implementation. The framework encourages a critical appraisal of the motivations, reward systems and techniques that underpin different performance management approaches. Understanding how and for what purpose performance information is used in everyday practice will advance theory and help inform decision-makers in designing the conditions that effectively contribute to performance accountability and improvements.

Introducción: En la carrera de Medicina se evidencia desmotivación por parte del estudiante hacía la enseñanza-aprendizaje del contenido estadístico. Esa situación incide negativamente en la motivación profesional de los mismos porque repercute en la calidad de la prestación de los servicios en salud. Objetivo: Estimular la motivación profesional del estudiante de Medicina desde el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje del contenido estadístico. Material y Métodos:Se realizó una intervención pedagógica entre los meses de septiembre de 2015 a julio de 2016, en la Universidad de Ciencias Médicas de Camagüey. Para ello, se seleccionó de manera directa, una muestra integrada por 105 estudiantes, a quienes se les aplicó una entrevista individual y la técnica de la composición; posteriormente se trabajó con ellos empleando diversas actividades y al final se aplicó una encuesta. La información obtenida se procesó de forma automatizada y se utilizaron medidas de resumen para estadística descriptiva. Resultados: Se observó el avance positivo en la percepción estudiantil acerca de la importancia y necesidad del aprendizaje del contenido estadístico para la futura profesión; así como el interés en su uso en las diversas áreas o campos de actuación profesional. Conclusiones: La aplicación de actividades integradoras que vinculan el contenido estadístico con la labor asistencial, gerencial e investigativa de la profesión médica favorece la potenciación de la motivación profesional en los estudiantes de Medicina(AU)


Introduction: Students´ lack of motivation in the teaching-learning process of statistical content is evidenced in the medical studies. This situation goes on negatively on their professional motivation since it has an effect on the quality of the health care services. Objective:To encourage professional motivation of medical students in the teaching-learning process of the statistical content. Material and methods: A pedagogical intervention was carried out in the University of Medical Sciences of Camaguey from September 2015 to July 2016. For it, a sample composed of 105 students was selected directly, to whom both an individual interview and the composition technique were applied; later, different activities were involved in carrying out the work with all of them to finally apply a survey. The information obtained was processed automatically, and summary measures were used for descriptive statistics. Results:A positive advance was observed in the students´ perceptions regarding the importance and need of learning statistical content for their future profession, as well as their interest in its use in different areas or fields of professional activity. Conclusions:The implementation of integrating activities that link statistical content with interest, management and investigative work in the medical profession promotes professional motivation in medical students(AU)

En cada sociedad se conforma el tipo de educación que exige su propio desarrollo y que constituye a su vez un producto de ella. En el contexto de la sociedad actual, tal presupuesto alcanza una notable significación y en el Sistema de Salud Cubano, donde se forman en el propio escenario laboral los recursos humanos del sector, de manera permanente y continua, se hace más notable y necesario. Lo anterior implica entonces que la interdependencia entre desarrollo social y calidad de la educación superior, exija mayores niveles de consolidación y con ello las preocupaciones y esfuerzos por concebir, organizar y ejecutar de manera efectiva una educación superior de excelencia en correspondencia con las dinámicas y crecientes necesidades del país y el mundo de hoy, donde el estudiante alcance en el cumplimiento del curriculum, una mayor motivación profesional y así constituir una tendencia orientadora de la conducta y la personalidad del adolescente, de ahí la importancia que esto sea el eje conductor de nuestro quehacer institucional, y poder cumplir con el encargo social de entregar a la sociedad un profesional capaz de enfrentarse a los problemas científicos, técnicos, culturales y sociales tanto en el terreno nacional como internacional con competencia, desempeño y sustentado en los valores más puros de la identidad nacional y cultural cubana. El objetivo de este trabajo es valorar los contenidos teóricos del tema y con la experiencia acumulada de más de 25 años de los autores, por los roles educativos desempeñados en la enseñanza de las Ciencias Médicas (AU).


Every society conforms the kind of education demanded by its proper development being, at the same time, its product. In the context of the current society that assumption reaches a remarkable connotation, being more significant and necessary in the Cuban Health System, where the future human resources are continuously and permanently formed in the proper working environment. Therefore, all the before said implies that interdependence between social development and high education quality demands greater levels of consolidation and with that, preoccupations and efforts for conceiving, organizing and performing in an effective way a high education of excellence, in correspondence with the growing and dynamic necessities of the country and the world nowadays, where the student reaches a higher professional motivation in the curriculum fulfillment, being that way a leading tendency of the teenager´s behavior and personality. From there the importance of this being the leading thread of our institutional performance for fulfilling the social assignment of rendering the society a professional able to affronting the scientific, technical, cultural and social problems with competence, both in the national and in the international fields, on the bases of the purest values of the Cuban natural and cultural identity. The aim of this work is assessing the theoretical content of the theme with the experience accumulated by the authors of more than 25 years playing educative roles in teaching medical sciences (AU).

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: Continuous professional development (CPD) for Danish general practitioners (GPs) is voluntary and based on funded accredited activities. There is an ongoing discussion on how to improve this current system by introducing mandatory elements. To inform this debate, we set out to identify GPs' current use of CPD and to explore the motives behind their choices. METHODS: A mixed-methods study with a combined qualitative and quantitative approach was used. In 2012, two focus group interviews were conducted, followed up the same year by an online questionnaire sent to 1079 randomly chosen Danish GPs. RESULTS: Focus groups: CPD activities are chosen based on personal needs analysis, and in order to be professionally updated, to meet engaged colleagues and to prevent burnout. GPs also attend CPD to assess their own pre-existing level of competence. CPD activities need to be experienced as being both meaningful and relevant in order to have an impact. Questionnaire: The response rate was 686/1079 (63%). GPs spend on average 10.5 days per year on accredited, voluntary CPD activities. Workplace-related CPD activities and practice-based small group learning played a significant role. The main motivation for choice of CPD activities included academic interest, experience of patient-related problems in their own surgeries and medical topics where the GPs felt insufficiently confident. CONCLUSIONS: Danish GPs are frequent users of voluntary accredited CPD. Their CPD choices are motivated by topics strengthening their professional capacity and preventing burnout. There would seem to be no need for a mandatory system.

Introducción: Aunque en los servicios de salud a nivel mundial existe deficiencia de personal de enfermería, en América Latina el índice de deserción en las escuelas de enfermería es elevado; esta problemática recae en trabajadores en ejercicio quienes deben brindar cuidado enfermero en situaciones de cansancio y estrés. La problemática lleva a pensar que no existen características adecuadas en los estudiantes que ingresan para cursar favorablemente la carrera. Objetivo: Determinar las características sociodemográficas, económicas, familiares, de antecedentes escolares e intereses profesionales de estudiantes que ingresan a estudiar la carrera de Enfermería. Suponemos una relación entre deserción e intereses u objetivos que guiaron a alumnos en la selección de carrera, sus características socio-económicas-familiares y del plantel que provienen. Metodología: Estudio transversal y descriptivo, se consideró el 100% de las cédulas de tutoría aplicadas a estudiantes de Enfermería que ingresaron entre 2001 y 2006. Los datos sociodemográficos, económicos y familiares se obtuvieron por medio de preguntas abiertas o cerradas, para clasificar nivel socioeconómico se utilizó la propuesta de Sigmarket, los intereses profesionales se evaluaron a partir de una escala tipo likert. Resultados: El perfil obtenido mostró una población joven, predominantemente solteros, que no realizan trabajo remunerado, dependen económicamente de sus padres, de condiciones socioeconómicas precarias, sus intereses están orientados hacia la obtención de conocimientos y aspectos de carácter social Conclusiones: Fue importante identificar una tendencia, aunque no significativa estadísticamente, de permanencia en mayor medida de los alumnos con condiciones sociales más precarias, y aquellos cuyos intereses de orden social se ubican en el nivel más alto.


Introduction: Although it exists a deficiency in nursing staff at a global level in health services, in Latin America the rate of dropout in nursing schools is high; this problem lies over workers who must provide nurse care in situations of fatigue and stress. The problem leads us to think there are no appropriate characteristics for students to successful fulfill their career. Objective: to determine the socio demographic, economic and family characteristics, school background and professional interests of students entering nursing. We assume an existing relationship between dropout, the interests or goals that guided students in the selection of the career in nursing, the socio-economic-family characteristics and the institution of origin. Methodology: cross-sectional and descriptive study that considered the 10000% of admission interviews made to incoming nursing students from 200001 to 200006. The socio-demographic, economical and familiar data were obtained from closed and openended questions; the Sigmarket proposal was used for the classification of the socioeconomic level, the professional interests were evaluate from a likert scale. Results; the obtained profile showed a young population, mainly single, that doesn't have a paid job and depends from their parents economically, from a low socio-economic conditions, their interests are focus towards the acquisition of knowledge and aspects of social nature. Conclusions: it was important to identify a mayor tendency, although not statistically significant, of continuing the career from part of the students with lower social conditions and those whose social interests are located in the highest level.

Se revisan y analizan los elementos teóricos inherentes a la motivación en general y la profesional en particular, con vista a determinar la implicación de esta última en el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes de medicina, a la vez que se profundiza en la relación existente entre la motivación y las actitudes, así como en su importancia en el proceso de adquisición de conocimientos El autor establece 2 clasificaciones de la motivación: una con respecto a la profesión y otra como resultado de su interrelación con las actitudes, vinculada al éxito o no en los estudios. Sobre la base de la información obtenida se colige que las actitudes influyen en la calidad del aprendizaje y que se impone prestar más atención a este componente de la personalidad ante el fracaso escolar.


Theoretical elements inherent to the motivation in general and the professional one in particular were reviewed and analyzed with a view to determining the implication of the latter on academic performance of medical students, but at the same time the relationship between motivation and attitudes is explored, as well as their importance in the process of acquiring knowledge. The author states two categories for the motivation: one with respect to the profession and another as a result of its interaction with the attitudes, linked to the success or failure in studies. On the basis of the information obtained it follows that attitudes influence the quality of learning and is necessary to pay more attention to this component of personality when being faced with school failure.

INTRODUCCION: a partir del análisis de los resultados del curso 2005-2007 se evidenció la necesidad de aplicar medidas para garantizar la retención y la calidad en el proceso de formación de enfermeros básicos egresados de 9º grado. OBJETIVO: aplicar una estrategia pedagógica para integrar la preparación en la enseñanza media y la formación básica de la especialidad dirigida al desarrollo de la motivación profesional en los estudiantes del Curso Básico de Enfermería en el entonces Instituto Superior de Medicina Militar Dr. Luis Díaz Soto. MÉTODOS: se realizó un estudio explicativo experimental con los 66 estudiantes que ingresaron en Curso Básico de Enfermería, en el período 2007-2008. El diseño consistió en potenciar la intervención antes (secundaria básica), durante y al concluir el primer año de la carrera de todos los factores humanos implicados directa e indirectamente en el proceso docente-educativo, mediante acciones dirigidas al desarrollo de valores, fortalecimiento de la formación académica y de la inclinación hacia la vocación en enfermería, tendientes al desarrollo de la motivación profesional. RESULTADOS: se mostró una evolución ascendente de los niveles de motivación, significativamente superiores a la de los alumnos del curso 2005-2007 y los resultados académicos y de retención, superaron de manera notable los alcanzados en dicho período. CONCLUSIONES: con la estrategia aplicada, el estado motivacional de los estudiantes del Curso Básico de Enfermería, mejoró en el curso 2007-2008, lo que dio lugar a un mejor rendimiento académico, promoción y retención escolar


INTRODUCTION: from the analysis of results of 2005-2007 course it was demonstrated the need of applying measures to guarantee the retention and quality in the training process of basic nurses graduated of ninth degree. OBJECTIVE: to apply the educational strategy to integrate the preparation in secondary education and the basic training of specialty aimed to the development of professional motivation in the students of the Nursing Basic Course in that time Luis Díaz Soto Higher Institute of Military Medicine. METHODS: an experimental and explanatory study was conducted in 66 students admitted in the Nursing Basic Course (2007-2008). The aim of the design was to encourage the intervention, before (secondary basic school), during and at the end of the first year of the career, of all human factors involved in a direct or indirect way in the teaching-educational process by actions directed to development of values, strengthening of academic training and of the propensity for nursing vocation, tending to development of the professional motivation. RESULTS: it was obvious a rising evolution of motivations levels very higher to that of the students of 2005-2007 courses and the academic and retention results broke in a marked way those achieved in such period. CONCLUSIONS: applying the strategy, the motivational state of students of the Nursing Basic Course, improved during 2007-2008 courses to bringing about a better academic performance, promotion and school retention

INTRODUCCION: a partir del análisis de los resultados del curso 2005-2007 se evidenció la necesidad de aplicar medidas para garantizar la retención y la calidad en el proceso de formación de enfermeros básicos egresados de 9º grado.
