RESUMO

Dissolved copper and iron ions are regarded as friendly and economic catalysts for peroxymonosulfate (PMS) activation, however, neither Cu(II) nor Fe(III) shows efficient catalytic performance because of the slow rates of Cu(II)/Cu(I) and Fe(III)/Fe(II) cycles. Innovatively, we observed a significant enhancement on the degradation of organic contaminants when Cu(II) and Fe(III) were coupled to activate PMS in borate (BA) buffer. The degradation efficiency of Rhodamine B (RhB, 20 µmol/L) reached up to 96.3% within 10 min, which was higher than the sum of individual Cu(II)- and Fe(III)- activated PMS process. Sulfate radical, hydroxyl radical and high-valent metal ions (i.e., Cu(III) and Fe(IV)) were identified as the working reactive species for RhB removal in Cu(II)/Fe(III)/PMS/BA system, while the last played a predominated role. The presence of BA dramatically facilitated the reduction of Cu(II) to Cu(I) via chelating with Cu(II) followed by Fe(III) reduction by Cu(I), resulting in enhanced PMS activation by Cu(I) and Fe(II) as well as accelerated generation of reactive species. Additionally, the strong buffering capacity of BA to stabilize the solution pH was satisfying for the pollutants degradation since a slightly alkaline environment favored the PMS activation by coupling Cu(II) and Fe(III). In a word, this work provides a brand-new insight into the outstanding PMS activation by homogeneous bimetals and an expanded application of iron-based advanced oxidation processes in alkaline conditions.

RESUMO

In this study, non-thermal plasma (NTP) was employed to modify the Cu/TiO2 adsorbent to efficiently purify H2S in low-temperature and micro-oxygen environments. The effects of Cu loading amounts and atmospheres of NTP treatment on the adsorption-oxidation performance of the adsorbents were investigated. The NTP modification successfully boosted the H2S removal capacity to varying degrees, and the optimized adsorbent treated by air plasma (Cu/TiO2-Air) attained the best H2S breakthrough capacity of 113.29 mg H2S/gadsorbent, which was almost 5 times higher than that of the adsorbent without NTP modification. Further studies demonstrated that the superior performance of Cu/TiO2-Air was attributed to increased mesoporous volume, more exposure of active sites (CuO) and functional groups (amino groups and hydroxyl groups), enhanced Ti-O-Cu interaction, and the favorable ratio of active oxygen species. Additionally, the X-ray diffraction (XRD) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) results indicated the main reason for the deactivation was the consumption of the active components (CuO) and the agglomeration of reaction products (CuS and SO42-) occupying the active sites on the surface and the inner pores of the adsorbents.

RESUMO

Benzoic acids, which are commonly found in food, are also produced by human microbiota from other dietary phenolics. The aim was to investigate the interactions of 8 food-related benzoic acids with the physiological metals iron and copper under different (patho)physiologically relevant pH conditions in terms of chelation, reduction, impact on the metal-based Fenton chemistry, and copper-based hemolysis. Only 3,4-dihydroxybenzoic acid behaved as a protective substance under all conditions. It chelated iron, reduced both iron and copper, and protected against the iron and copper-based Fenton reaction. Conversely, 2,4,6-trihydroxybenzoic acid did not chelate iron and copper, reduced both metals, potentiated the Fenton reaction, and worsened copper-based hemolysis of rat red blood cells. The other tested compounds showed variable effects on the Fenton reaction. Interestingly, prooxidative benzoic acids mildly protected human erythrocytes against Cu-induced lysis. In conclusion, 3,4-dihydroxybenzoic acid seems to have a protective effect against copper and iron-based toxicity under different conditions.

RESUMO

Catalytic reduction of nitrate over bimetallic catalysts has emerged as a technology for sustainable treatment of nitrate-containing groundwater. However, the structure of bimetallic has been much less investigated for catalyst optimization. Herein, two main types of Pd-Cu bimetallic nanocrystal structures, heterostructure and intermetallic, were prepared and characterized using high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The results show that two individual Pd and Cu nanocrystals with a mixed interface exist in the heterostructure nanocrystals, while Pd and Cu atoms are uniformly distributed across the intermetallic Pd-Cu nanocrystals. The catalytic nitrate reduction experiments were carried out in a semibatch reactor under constant hydrogen flow. The nitrate conversion rate of the heterostructure Pd-Cu nanocrystals supported on α-Al2O3, γ-Al2O3, SBA-15, and XC-72R exhibited 3.82-, 6.76-, 4.28-, 2.44-fold enhancements relative to the intermetallic nanocrystals, and the nitrogen and nitrite were the main products for the heterostructure and intermetallic Pd-Cu nanocrystals, respectively. This indicates that the catalytic nitrate reduction over Pd-Cu catalyst is sensitive to the bimetallic structures of the catalysts, and heterostructure bimetallic nanocrystals exhibit better catalytic performances on both the activity and selectivity, which may provide new insights into the design and optimization of catalysts to improve catalytic activity and selectivity for nitrate reduction in water.

RESUMO

Electrocatalytic reduction of nitrate to ammonia has been considered a promising and sustainable pathway for pollutant treatment and ammonia has significant potential as a clean energy. Therefore, the method has received much attention. In this work, Cu/Fe 2D bimetallic metal-organic frameworks were synthesized by a facile method applied as cathode materials without high-temperature carbonization. Bimetallic centers (Cu, Fe) with enhanced intrinsic activity demonstrated higher removal efficiency. Meanwhile, the 2D nanosheet reduced the mass transfer barrier between the catalyst and nitrate and increased the reaction kinetics. Therefore, the catalysts with a 2D structure showed much better removal efficiency than other structures (3D MOFs and Bulk MOFs). Under optimal conditions, Cu/Fe-2D MOF exhibited high nitrate removal efficiency (87.8%) and ammonium selectivity (89.3%) simultaneously. The ammonium yielded up to significantly 907.2 µg/(hr·mgcat) (7793.8 µg/(hr·mgmetal)) with Faradaic efficiency of 62.8% at an initial 100 mg N/L. The catalyst was proved to have good stability and was recycled 15 times with excellent effect. DFT simulations confirm the reduced Gibbs free energy of Cu/Fe-2D MOF. This study demonstrates the promising application of Cu/Fe-2D MOF in nitrate reduction to ammonia and provides new insights for the design of efficient electrode materials.

RESUMO

Herein, three supported catalysts, CuO/Al2O3, CeO2/Al2O3, and CuO-CeO2/Al2O3, were synthesized by the convenient impregnation method to reveal the effect of CeO2 addition on catalytic performance and reaction mechanism for toluene oxidation. Compared with CuO/Al2O3, the T50 and T90 (the temperatures at 50% and 90% toluene conversion, respectively) of CuO-CeO2/Al2O3 were reduced by 33 and 39 °C, respectively. N2 adsorption-desorption experiment, XRD, SEM, EDS mapping, Raman, EPR, H2-TPR, O2-TPD, XPS, NH3-TPD, Toluene-TPD, and in-situ DRIFTS were conducted to characterize these catalysts. The excellent catalytic performance of CuO-CeO2/Al2O3 could be attributed to its strong copper-cerium interaction and high oxygen vacancies concentration. Moreover, in-situ DRIFTS proved that CuO-CeO2/Al2O3 promoted the conversion of toluene to benzoate and accelerated the deep degradation path of toluene. This work provided valuable insights into the development of efficient and economical catalysts for volatile organic compounds.

RESUMO

The electrochemical carbon dioxide reduction reaction (CO2RR) to high value-added fuels or chemicals driven by the renewable energy is promising to alleviate global warming. However, the selective CO2 reduction to C2 products remains challenge. Cu-based catalyst with the specific Cu0 and Cu+ sites is important to generate C2 products. This work used nitrogen (N) to tune amounts of Cu0 and Cu+ sites in Cu2O catalysts and improve C2-product conversion. The controllable Cu0/Cu+ ratio of Cu2O catalyst from 0.16 to 15.19 was achieved by adjusting the N doping amount using NH3/Ar plasma treatment. The major theme of this work was clarifying a volcano curve of the ethylene Faraday efficiency as a function of the Cu0/Cu+ ratio. The optimal Cu0/Cu+ ratio was determined as 0.43 for selective electroreduction CO2 to ethylene. X-ray spectroscopy and density functional theory (DFT) calculations were employed to elucidate that the strong interaction between N and Cu increased the binding energy of NCu bond and stabilize Cu+, resulting in a 92.3% reduction in the potential energy change for *CO-*CO dimerization. This study is inspiring in designing high performance electrocatalysts for CO2 conversion.

RESUMO

Herein, a nanocomposite of Cu,Ce-containing phosphotungstates (Cu,Ce-PTs) with outstanding laccase-like activity was fabricated via a one-pot microwave-assisted hydrothermal method. Notably, it was discovered that both Fe3+ and Cr6+ could significantly enhance the electron transfer rates of Ce3+ and Ce4+, along with generous Cu2+ with high catalytic activity, thereby promoting the laccase-like activity of Cu,Ce-PTs. The proposed system can be used for the detection of Fe3+ and Cr6+ in a range of 0.667-333.33 µg/mL and 0.033-33.33 µg/mL with a low detection limit of 0.135 µg/mL and 0.0288 µg/mL, respectively. The proposed assay exhibits excellent reusability and selectivity and can be used in traditional Chinese medicine samples analysis.

RESUMO

N-acetyl-L-cysteine (NAC) as a class of thiols is commonly used in the treatment of lung diseases, detoxification and prevention of liver damage. In this paper, 4-mercaptobenzoic acid (4-MBA) coated and polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) attached copper nanoclusters (4-MBA@PVP-CuNCs) were successfully synthesized using a simple one-pot method with an absolute quantum yield of 10.98 %, and its synthetic conditions (like effects of single/double ligands and temperature) were studied intensively. Then Hg2+ could quench the fluorescence of the 4-MBA@PVP-CuNCs and its fluorescence was restored with the addition of NAC. Based on the above principles, an off-on switching system was established to detect NAC. That is, the 4-MBA@PVP-CuNCs-Hg probe was prepared by adding Hg2+ to switch off the fluorescence of the CuNCs by static quenching, and then NAC was added to switch on the fluorescence of the probe based on the chelation of NAC and Hg2+. Moreover, the effects of metal ion types and mercury ion doses for the probe construction were also further discussed. The method showed excellent linearity in the range of 0.05-1.25 µM and low detection limit of 16 nM. Meanwhile, good recoveries in real urine, tablets and pellets were observed, which proved the reliability of the method and provided a convenient, fast and sensitive method for NAC detection.

RESUMO

Copper (Cu), an essential micronutrient with redox properties, plays a pivotal role in a wide array of pathological and physiological processes across virtually all cell types. Maintaining an optimal copper concentration is critical for cellular survival: insufficient copper levels disrupt respiration and metabolism, while excess copper compromises cell viability, potentially leading to cell death. Similarly, in the context of cancer, copper exhibits a dual role: appropriate amount of copper can promote tumor progression and be an accomplice, yet beyond befitting level, copper can bring about multiple types of cell death, including autophagy, apoptosis, ferroptosis, immunogenic cell death, pyroptosis, and cuproptosis. These forms of cell death are beneficial against cancer progression; however, achieving precise copper regulation within tumors remains a significant challenge in the pursuit of effective cancer therapies. The emergence of nanodrug delivery systems, distinguished by their precise targeting, controlled release, high payload capacity, and the ability to co-deliver multiple agents, has revitalized interest in exploiting copper's precise regulatory capabilities. Nevertheless, there remains a dearth of comprehensive review of copper's bidirectional effects on tumorigenesis and the role of copper-based nanomaterials in modulating tumor progression. This paper aims to address this gap by elucidating the complex role in cancer biology and highlighting its potential as a therapeutic target. Through an exploration of copper's dualistic nature and the application of nanotechnology, this review seeks to offer novel insights and guide future research in advancing cancer treatment.

RESUMO

Copper-catalyzed click chemistry offers creative strategies for activation of therapeutics without disrupting biological processes. Despite tremendous efforts, current copper catalysts face fundamental challenges in achieving high efficiency, atom economy, and tissue-specific selectivity. Herein, we develop a facile "mix-and-match synthetic strategy" to fabricate a biomimetic single-site copper-bipyridine-based cerium metal-organic framework (Cu/Ce-MOF@M) for efficient and tumor cell-specific bioorthogonal catalysis. This elegant methodology achieves isolated single-Cu-site within the MOF architecture, resulting in exceptionally high catalytic performance. Cu/Ce-MOF@M favors a 32.1-fold higher catalytic activity than the widely used MOF-supported copper nanoparticles at single-particle level, as first evidenced by single-molecule fluorescence microscopy. Furthermore, with cancer cell-membrane camouflage, Cu/Ce-MOF@M demonstrates preferential tropism for its parent cells. Simultaneously, the single-site CuII species within Cu/Ce-MOF@M are reduced by upregulated glutathione in cancerous cells to CuI for catalyzing the click reaction, enabling homotypic cancer cell-activated in situ drug synthesis. Additionally, Cu/Ce-MOF@M exhibits oxidase and peroxidase mimicking activities, further enhancing catalytic cancer therapy. This study guides the reasonable design of highly active heterogeneous transition-metal catalysts for targeted bioorthogonal reactions.

RESUMO

Osteomyelitis is an osseous infectious disease that primarily affects children and the elderly with high morbidity and recurrence. The conventional treatments of osteomyelitis contain long-term and high-dose systemic antibiotics with debridements, which are not effective and lead to antibiotic resistance with serious side/adverse effects in many cases. Hence, developing novel antibiotic-free interventions against osteomyelitis (especially antibiotic-resistant bacterial infection) is urgent and anticipated. Here, a bone mesenchymal stem cell membrane-constructed nanocell (CFE@CM) was fabricated against osteomyelitis with the characteristics of acid-responsiveness, hydrogen peroxide self-supplying, enhanced chemodynamic therapeutic efficacy, bone marrow targeting and cuproptosis induction. Notably, mRNA sequencing was applied to unveil the underlying biological mechanisms and found that the biological processes related to copper ion binding, oxidative phosphorylation, peptide biosynthesis and metabolism, etc., were disturbed by CFE@CM in bacteria. This work provided an innovative antibiotic-free strategy against osteomyelitis through copper-enhanced Fenton reaction and distinct cuproptosis, promising to complement the current insufficient therapeutic regimen in clinic.

RESUMO

Cuproptosis is a new kind of cell death that depends on delivering copper ions into mitochondria to trigger the aggradation of tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle proteins and has been observed in various cancer cells. However, whether cuproptosis occurs in cancer stem cells (CSCs) is unexplored thus far, and CSCs often reside in a hypoxic tumor microenvironment (TME) of triple negative breast cancers (TNBC), which suppresses the expression of the cuproptosis protein FDX1, thereby diminishing anticancer efficacy of cuproptosis. Herein, a ROS-responsive active targeting cuproptosis-based nanomedicine CuET@PHF is developed by stabilizing copper ionophores CuET nanocrystals with polydopamine and hydroxyethyl starch to eradicate CSCs. By taking advantage of the photothermal effects of CuET@PHF, tumor hypoxia is overcome via tumor mechanics normalization, thereby leading to enhanced cuproptosis and immunogenic cell death in 4T1 CSCs. As a result, the integration of CuET@PHF and mild photothermal therapy not only significantly suppresses tumor growth but also effectively inhibits tumor recurrence and distant metastasis by eliminating CSCs and augmenting antitumor immune responses. This study presents the first evidence of cuproptosis in CSCs, reveals that disrupting hypoxia augments cuproptosis cancer therapy, and establishes a paradigm for potent cancer therapy by simultaneously eliminating CSCs and boosting antitumor immunity.

RESUMO

The challenges generated by insufficient T cell activation and infiltration have constrained the application of immunotherapy. Making matters worse, the complex tumor microenvironment (TME), resistance to apoptosis collectively poses obstacles for cancer treatment. The carrier-free small molecular self-assembly strategy is a current research hotspot to overcome these challenges. This strategy can transform multiple functional agents into sustain-released hydrogel without the addition of any excipients. Herein, a coordination and hydrogen bond mediated tricomponent hydrogel (Cel hydrogel) composed of glycyrrhizic acid (GA), copper ions (Cu2+) and celastrol (Cel) was initially constructed. The hydrogel can regulate TME by chemo-dynamic therapy (CDT), which increases reactive oxygen species (ROS) in conjunction with GA and Cel, synergistically expediting cellular apoptosis. What's more, copper induced cuproptosis also contributes to the anti-tumor effect. In terms of regulating immunity, ROS generated by Cel hydrogel can polarize tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) into M1-TAMs, Cel can induce T cell proliferation as well as activate DC mediated antigen presentation, which subsequently induce T cell proliferation, elevate T cell infiltration and enhance the specific killing of tumor cells, along with the upregulation of PD-L1 expression. Upon co-administration with aPD-L1, this synergy mitigated both primary and metastasis tumors, showing promising clinical translational value.

RESUMO

Different morphological Cu2O nanoparticles including cube, truncated cube, and octahedron were successfully prepared by a selective surface stabilization strategy. The prepared cube Cu2O exhibited superior peroxidase-like activity over the other two morphological Cu2O nanoparticles, which can readily oxidize 3,3',5,5'-tetramethylbenzidine (TMB) to form visually recognizable color signals. Consequently, a sensitive and simple colorimetric biosensor was proposed for deoxynivalenol (DON) detection. In this biosensor, the uniform cube Cu2O was employed as the vehicle to label the antibody for the recognition of immunoreaction. The sensing strategy showed a detection limit as low as 0.01 ng/mL, and a wide linear range from 2 to 100 ng/mL. Concurrently, the approximate DON concentration can be immediately and conveniently observed by the vivid color changes. Benefiting from the high sensitivity and selectivity of the designed biosensor, the detection of DON in wheat, corn, and tap water samples was achieved, suggesting the bright prospect of the biosensor for the convenient and intuitive detection of DON in actual samples.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Carbon quantum dots (CQDs) have gained much interest recently for being efficient probes. Their cost-effectiveness, eco-friendliness, and unique photocatalytic activities made them distinctive alternatives to other luminescent approaches like fluorescent dyes and luminous derivatization. Meanwhile, delafloxacin (DLF) is a recently approved antibacterial medicine. DLF has been authorized for the treatment of soft-tissue and skin infections as well as pneumonia. Therefore, new eco-friendly, cost-effective, and sensitive tools are needed its estimation in different matrices. RESULTS: In the proposed study, green copper and nitrogen carbon dots (Cu-N@CDs) were synthesized from a green source (plum juice with copper sulphate). Cu-N@CQDs were then characterized using multiple tools including X-ray photon spectroscopy (XPS), FTIR and UV-VIS spectroscopy, Zeta potential measurements, High-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), and fluorescence spectroscopy. After gradually adding DLF, the developed quantum dots' fluorescence was significantly enhanced within the working range of 0.5-100.0 ng mL-1. The limits of detection and quantification were 0.08 and 0.27 ng mL-1, respectively. The accuracy of the proposed method ranged from 96.00 to 99.12 % in recovery%, when recovered from milk and plasma samples. SIGNIFICANCE: Cu-N@CDs were utilized and validated for selectively determining DLF in several matrices including pharmaceutical forms, human plasma and in milk samples using spectrofluorimetric technique. The bio-analytical method is simple and could be used in content uniformity testing as well as in therapeutic drug monitoring in human plasma.

RESUMO

Metal oxide nanoparticles(NPs) contain unique properties which have made them attractive agents in cancer treatment. The CuO nanoparticles were green synthesized using walnut shell powder in different calcination temperatures (400°, 500°, 700°, and 900 °C). The CuO nanoparticles are characterized by FTIR, XRD, BET, SEM and DLS analyses. SEM and DLS analyses showed that by increasing the required calcination temperature for synthesizing the NPs, their size was increased. DPPH analysis displayed no significant anti-oxidative properties of the CuO NPs. The MTT analysis showed that all synthesized CuO NPs exhibited cytotoxic effects on MCF-7, HCT-116, and HEK-293 cell lines. Among the CuO NPs, the CuO-900 NPs showed the least cytotoxic effect on the HEK-293 cell line (IC50 = 330.8 µg/ml). Hoechst staining and real-time analysis suggested that the CuO-900 NPs induced apoptosis by elevation of p53 and Bax genes expression levels. Also, the CuO-900 NPs increased the Nrf-2 gene expression level in MCF-7 cells, despite the HCT-116 cells. As can be concluded from the results, the CuO-900 NPs exerted promising cytotoxic effects on breast and colon cancer cells.

RESUMO

Doping of brushite cements with metal ions can entail many positive effects on biological and physicochemical properties. Cu2+ ions are known to exhibit antibacterial properties and can additionally have different positive effects on cells as trace elements, whereas high Cu2+ concentrations are cytotoxic. For therapeutical applications of bone cement, a combination of good biocompatibility and sufficient mechanical properties is required. Therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate different physicochemical and biological aspects, relevant for application, of a brushite cement with Cu2+-doped ß-tricalcium phosphate, monocalcium phosphate monohydrate and phytic acid as setting retarder. Additionally, the ion release was compared with a cement with citric acid as setting retarder. The investigated cements showed good injectability coefficients, as well as compressive strength values sufficient for application. Furthermore, no antibacterial effects were detected irrespective of the Cu2+ concentration or the bacterial strain. The cell experiments with eluate samples showed that the viability of MC3T3-E1 cells tended to decrease with increasing Cu2+ concentration in the cement. It is suggested that these biological responses are caused by the difference in the Cu2+ release from the hardened cement depending on the solvent medium. Furthermore, the cements showed a steady release of Cu2+ ions to a lesser extent in comparison with a cement with citric acid as setting retarder, where a burst release of Cu2+ was observed. In conclusion, despite the anticipated antibacterial effect of Cu2+-doped cements was lacking and mammalian cell viability was slightly affected, Cu2+-concentrations maintained the physicochemical properties as well as the compressive strength of cements and the slow ion release from cements produced with phytic acid is considered advantageous compared to citric acid-based formulations.

RESUMO

Both copper (Cu2+/+) and iodine (I-) are essential elements in all living organisms. Increasing the intracellular concentrations of Cu or I ions may efficiently inhibit tumor growth. However, efficient delivery of Cu and I ions into tumor cells is still a challenge, as Cu chelation and iodide salts are highly water-soluble and can release in untargeted tissue. Here we report mitochondria-targeted Cu-I cluster nanoparticles using the reaction of Cu+ and I- to form stable bovine serum albumin (BSA) radiation-induced phosphors (Cu-I@BSA). These solve the stability issues of Cu+ and I- ions. Cu-I@BSA exhibit bright radioluminescence, and easily conjugate with the emission-matched photosensitizer and targeting molecule using functional groups on the surface of BSA. Investigations in vitro and in vivo demonstrate that radioluminescence under low-dose X-ray irradiation excites the conjugated photosensitizer to generate singlet oxygen, and combines with the radiosensitization mechanism of the heavy atom of iodine, resulting in efficient tumor inhibition in female mice. Furthermore, our study reveals that BSA protection causes the biodegradable Cu-I clusters to release free Cu and I ions and induce cell death by modulating mitochondrial function, damaging DNA, disrupting the tricarboxylic acid cycle, decreasing ATP generation, amplifying oxidative stress, and boosting the Bcl-2 pathway.

RESUMO

The objective of this study was to develop pyrazolidine-3,5-dione derivatives with potential as environmentally friendly pesticides for pest control, specifically focusing on their efficacy as larvicidal agents. A novel one-pot synthesis of multicomponent pyrazolidine-3,5-dione derivatives (1a-m) was accomplished via the grindstone method using Cu(II)tyrosinase enzyme as a catalyst under mild reaction conditions, yielding 84%-96%. The synthesised derivatives (1a-m) were characterized using various spectroscopic methods (mass spectrometry, elemental analysis, FT-IR, and 1H and 13C NMR). NMR characterisation using DMSO-d6 as a solvent. The larvicidal and antifeedant activities of the synthesised compounds were screened and in silico computational studies were performed. The larvicidal activity against Culex quinquefasciatus and antifeedant activity against Oreochromis mossambicus were evaluated. Among the synthesised compounds, compound 1c demonstrated superior efficacy (LD50: 9.7 µg/mL) against C. quinquefasciatus compared to permethrin (LD50: 17.1 µg/mL). Regarding antifeedant activity, compounds 1a, 1e, 1f, 1j, and 1k exhibited 100% mortality at 100 µg/mL. Molecular docking analysis was performed to assess the binding capacity of a mosquito odorant-binding protein (3OGN) from Culex quinquefasciatus to compound 1c. The results revealed that compound 1c had a docking score of -10.4 kcal/mol, surpassing that of standard permethrin (-9.5 kcal/mol). Furthermore, DFT calculations were conducted to acquire theoretical data aligned with the experimental FT-IR results. According to experimental research, compound 1c demonstrates promising larvicidal activity against mosquito larvae of C. quinquefasciatus.
