RESUMEN

La enfermeria desde sus origenes era considerada como ocupacion basada en la experiencia practica y el conocimiento comun y no contemplaba conocimiento cientifico de la profesion, esto nace con la primera teoria de enfermeria. Se reconoce a los cuidados de enfermeria como una variable en el funcionamiento de los servicios de salud; se estima que aproximadamente un 70% de la respuesta de salud corresponde a actividades de enfermeria. Por tanto, la mejor o peor calidad de dichos cuidados tiene un impacto decisivo en la atencion que proporciona el sistema de salud en su conjunto.El Sanatorio Allende Cerro plantea reforzar el contenido teorico y practico, utilizando el pensamiento enfermero y aplicando un plan estrategico que permita la capacitacion previa y post del enfermero a ingresar al servicio. Se concluye que la necesidad de perfeccionamiento profesionales la realidad del trabajo de la enfermera en ese sector. Supervisar los cuidados, es posible; cuidar integralmente al paciente, envolviendo a su entorno, es el ideal deseado
