El impacto en el hogar del cuidado de un enfermo de Alzheimer configura una nueva formulación de hábitos, rutinas, roles y funciones dentro de la dinámica familiar. La conducta disfuncional del enfermo y todos los cuidados rutinarios que precisa unidos a las gestiones médicas, financieras y jurídicas ocasionan en el cuidador manifestaciones graves de agotamiento, estrés y depresión.
