O ser enfermeira e a enfermagem sob o olhar das acadêmicas de enfermagem da UFPI / The being nurse and the nursing under the look of academics of nursing

RESUMO

Estudo exploratório qualitativo, com vinte acadêmicas na faixa etária de 19 a 21 anos, ingressantes no Curso deEnfermagem de uma Universidade pública de Teresina. Dados obtidos através de questionário com questões abertas, cujos resultados estão distribuidos nas categorias o ser enfermeira, significado da enfermagem, opção pela enfermagem, atribuições da enfermeira e expectativas quanto ao Curso, e permitem vislumbrar os caminhos percorridos pela enfermagempiauiense vista pela comunidade como profissão que contribui para melhoria de saúde da clientela com conhecimentos técnico-cientificos, ética e responsabilidade. E apontam a possibi-lidade da formação de profissionais melhor preparados para oenfrentamento das transformações futuras.

ABSTRACT

Qualitative exploratory study, with twenty academic on age group of 19 the 21 years that entered in the NursingCourse of a public University of Teresina. The data obtained through questionnaire with opened questions whose results are distributed in the categories' the being nurse, meaning ofthe nursing, option to the nurse. attributions of the nursing andexpectations regarding Course and allows to glimpse the covered ways by piauiense nursing as profession that contributes for improvement of health of the clientele with technician andscientific knowledge, ethics and responsibility. And shows thepossible formation of better professionals prepared to confrontthe future transformations.
