Vítimas de trauma por acidente de moto atendidas em serviço móvel de urgência / Victims of trauma by motorcycle accident attended in urgency mobile service

RESUMO

Objetivo: caracterizar os acidentes motociclísticos e analisar o perfil das vítimas de trauma envolvidas neste evento, socorridas por um serviço público de atendimento pré-hospitalar. Metodologia: estudo retrospectivo,com abordagem quantitativa, baseado nos boletins de atendimentos registrados de janeiro a junho de 2012,em uma cidade do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul. Analisaram-se variáveis referentes aos acidentados e ao atendimento pré-hospitalar inicial como sexo, idade, sinais vitais, natureza das lesões, desfecho, encaminhamento, horário/local de ocorrência, tipo de acidente e socorro prestado. Utilizou-se análise descritiva, bivariada e multivariada. Resultados: da amostra de 595 boletins, emergiu o seguinte perfil predomínio de vítimas do sexo masculino, adulto jovem, em idade reprodutiva. Nos dias úteis e na zona urbana predominam mais casos. Houve relação do horário das ocorrências com a ida e a volta do trabalho. Prevaleceram os ferimentos corto contusos e escoriações, envolvendo lesões de menor gravidade na cabeça e fraturas expostas em membros. Conclusão: o acidente de motocicleta é um fenômeno multifacetado e que envolve fatores de variada natureza em sua gênese. Evidencia-se que a prevenção deste tipo de acidente necessita de abordagem intersetorial, multidisciplinar, com intervenção em aspectos sociais muito além da educação, fiscalização e engenharia de tráfego.

ABSTRACT

Objective: characterizing the motorcycle accidents and analyzing the profile of the trauma victims involvedon this event, helped by a public pre-hospital attending service. Method: retrospective studies, with quantitative approach, based on attending bulletins recorded from January to June 2012 in a city in Rio Grande do Sul State. Variables related to the accident victims and to the initial pre-hospital attending like gender, age, vital signals, nature of the injuries, upshot, forwarding, schedule/place of occurrence, kind ofaccident and help performed were analyzed. It has been used a descriptive analysis, bi-varied and multivaried. Results: From the sample of 595 bulletins, emerged the following profile predominance of male, young adults victims on reproductive age. On the useful days and in the urban zone more cases arepredominant. There was relation to the time of the occurrences with the going and coming from work. It hasbeen predominated the cut blunt injuries and abrasions, involving less serious injuries on the head andfractures in members. Conclusion: The motorcycle accident is a multifaceted phenomenon and it involves factors of varied nature in its genesis. It has been evident that the prevention of this kind of accident needs inter-sectorial, multi-disciplinary approach, with interventions in social aspects beyond of education, supervision and traffic engineering.
