Caracterização dos pacientes em uso de colar cervical / Characteristics of patients in cervical necklace use

RESUMO

Objetivo: este trabalho tem como objetivo identificar o perfil dos pacientes vítimas de trauma e caracterizar os pacientes quanto ao uso de colar cervical e diagnóstico de trauma raquimedular. Metodologia: trata-se de um estudo do tipo descritivo, realizado em um hospital de emergência da Cidade de Fortaleza-Ceará. Os dados foram coletados por meio de formulário nos prontuários dos pacientes. Os aspectos éticos foram respeitados conforme a resolução 466/12. Foi necessário Termo de fiel depositário. Resultados: a maioria encontrava-se na faixa etária de 20 e 59 anos (72,80%), 79,82% desses pacientes são do sexo masculino e o motivo da internação hospitalar foi por acidente com motocicletas (47,40%). Dos prontuários em estudo,48,55% dos pesquisados fizeram exames de imagem e 67,54% usaram colar cervical. Conclusão: conclui-se que os jovens são os principais acometidos, sendo o acidente com motocicleta a principal causa de internação.Indica-se medidas preventivas junto a jovens motociclistas.

ABSTRACT

Objective: this study aims to identify the profile of trauma patients and characterize patients on the use of cervical necklace and diagnosis of spinal cord injury. Methodology: this is a descriptive study, carried out inan emergency hospital in the city of Fortaleza, Ceará. Data were collected through a form on the medical records of patients. The ethical aspects were respected according to Resolution 466/12. Results: the majority was between the ages of 20 and 59 years (72.80%), 79.82% of these patients were male and the reason for hospitalization was by accident with motorcycles (47.40%). The records in the study, 48.55% of respondentsdid imaging tests and 67.54% used cervical necklace. Conclusion: we conclude that young people are themain affected, and the motorcycle accident the leading cause of hospitalization. It is indicated preventivemeasures with the young riders.
