RESUMO
Dados da Organização Mundial da Saúde (OMS) indicam que, a cada ano, 17,3 milhões de pessoas morrem em todo o mundo vítimas de doenças cardiovasculares, sendo a principal causa de morte em todo o mundo. O objetivo foi analisar as evidências disponíveis na literatura referentes à atuação do terapeuta ocupacional na área da cardiologia. Este é uma revisão integrativa de literatura em que foi feito a identificação do tema e elaboração da questão de pesquisa, estabelecimento dos critérios de inclusão e exclusão, busca na literatura dos estudos, extração de dados, avaliação dos estudos, análise e síntese dos estudos selecionados com apresentação dos resultados e discussão dos mesmos. Foram selecionadas, como fontes de pesquisa, as bases de dados PubMed e LILACS, além disso, foi realizada uma busca livre devido a escassez de artigos relacionado ao tema. Foram usados os seguintes descritores “Occupational Therapy”, “Activities of Daily Living”, “Rehabilitation”, “Cardiology”, “Heart”, “Coronary Disease”, “Myocardial Infarction” e seus cruzamentos. Além disso, foi realizada busca livre, para identificação de material relevante, ainda que não indexado em bases internacionais. Identificou-se 396 artigos, com a aplicação dos critérios de exclusão e leitura na íntegra, resultaram 15 artigos. Os artigos selecionados foram divididos em três unidades de análise, sendo estas terapia ocupacional (TO) na reabilitação cardiovascular, com 4 artigos; qualidade de vida e atividades de vida diária, com 8 artigos e, TO e equipe multiprofissional, compondo 3 artigos. A maioria dos estudos é randomizado, da língua inglesa e de diversas nacionalidades. Há estudo desde motivo de encaminhamento do paciente....
ABSTRACT
Data from the World Health Organization (WHO) indicate that each year, 17.3 million people around the world die victims of cardiovascular disease, being the main cause of death worldwide. The objective was to analyze the available evidence in the literature regarding the role of the occupational therapist in cardiology. This is an integrative literature review it was made the subject of the identification and preparation of the research question, establishing the inclusion and exclusion criteria, literature search of studies, data extraction, assessment of studies, analysis and synthesis of selected studies to present the results and discuss these issues. Were selected as research sources, PubMed and LILACS databases, in addition, a free search due to shortage of articles related to the topic was conducted. The following terms were used "Occupational Therapy", "Activities of Daily Living", "Rehabilitation", "Cardiology", "Heart", "Coronary Disease", "Myocardial Infarction" and their crosses. In addition, free search was conducted to identify relevant material, although not indexed in international databases. We identified 396 articles, with application of the exclusion criteria and reading in full, resulted 15 items. Selected articles were divided into three units of analysis, these being Occupational therapy (OT) in cardiovascular rehabilitation, with 4 articles; quality of life and activities of daily living, with articles 8 and OT and multidisciplinary team, comprising 3 articles. Most studies are randomized, the English language and of different nationalities.
