Redes sociales como espacio de reflexión y acción resiliente ante el cambio climático / Social networks as a space for reflection and resilient action in the face of climate change

RESUMEN

RESUMEN Introducción: Este trabajo1 tiene como objetivo valorar los resultados de un proyecto de investigación acción en el que se articulan la transferencia de contenidos, foros, y procesos de exploración del entorno con las redes sociales Facebook, YouTube y WhatsApp durante el periodo 2017-2019. Método: La muestra la componen 340 estudiantes de una universidad pública de Ecuador. Se aplica el modelo de Sinatra, Kardash, Taasoobshirazi y Lombardi para abordar problemáticas ambientales. Se aplican técnicas de investigación cualitativa para colectar las opiniones de los participantes, las que son analizadas desde el enfoque sociocrítico. Resultados: Se identificaron acciones dirigidas a la reducción del consumo de electricidad, papel y agua potable en la universidad. Discusión: Se concluye que las redes sociales innovan la educación ambiental mediante la generación de espacios virtuales que mejoran el aprendizaje significativo, el trabajo colaborativo y fortalecen las actitudes de resiliencia ante el cambio climático.

ABSTRACT Introduction: This work has as objective to value the results of a research action project for that there is articulated the transference of contents, forums, and processes of exploration of the environment with the social networks Facebook, YouTube and WhatsApp during the period 2017-2019. Method: The sample is composed of 340 students of a public university of Ecuador. There is applied the model of Sinatra, Kardash, Taasoobshirazi and Lombardi to dock environmental problematic. Techniques of qualitative investigation are applied to collect the opinions of the participants, which are analyzed from the socio-critic approach. Results: There were identified actions directed to the reduction of the consumption of electricity, paper and drinking water in the university. Discussion: It is concluded that the social networks introduce the environmental education by means of the generation of virtual spaces that improve significant learning, the collaborative work and strengthen the resilience attitudes before the climate change.
