ABSTRACT
The objective of this study is to analyze the spatial distribution of properties with positive breeding of the Aedes aegypti mosquito in the territory which corresponds to the Family Health Strategy team of the municipality of Sobral in the state of Ceará. This study is a quantitative approach, epidemiological-ecological of temporal-cross-sectional reference. The field of investigation of this study constituted a specific territory which corresponds to the Family Health Strategy team of the municipality seat of Sobral. The data collection was done through documentary sources from the registry of home visits from agents to combat endemic diseases, which were systematized through tabulations and mapping in EpiInfo™ software. In the period of July 2016, 183 positive Aedes aegypti breeding properties were notified in a neighborhood that is a part of the municipality seat of Sobral - Ceará. Positive breeding sites were detected in residences, vacant lots and other types of properties along the area covered by the neighborhood. It was observed that the predominance of Aedes aegypti breeding sites occurred in residential properties, with the highest percentage in garbage drums, buckets, water tanks, water purifiers, plastic containers and plastic basins. It was verified the need to incorporate new technologies for the monitoring of positive breeding sites using georeferencing spatial analysis, along with computational techniques to manipulate the information obtained in the studied territory. This allows the diagnosis of the health situation, with the identification and prioritization of the health issues of families residing in that covered area, along with the solvability of provided care.
