ABSTRACT
Abbe flap is a good alternative for correction of secondary cleft lip deformities. The origonal abbe flap with the addition of three extensions of subcutaneous celular tissue in a fleur d'Lys pattern, rotating them to its new position will gives more volume, to the uppen lip as well as the columella, giving better results compared to the conventional flap, with the advantage of performing additional corrections at the same time. A study of 44 patients from 1977 to 1997, with bilateral as well as unilateral cleft was done evaluating the benefits of the technique.
