RESUMEN
Estudio retrospectivo descriptivo de las primeras 70 vasectomías ambulatorias sin bisturí realizadas en la Clínica de Planificación Familiar del Hospital Nacional Cayetano Heredia entre enero de 1992 y agosto de 1994. Se describe las características referentes a edad, grado de instrucción, numero de hijos de los usuarios de vasectomía sin bisturí, así como la fuente de información y tiempo entre decisión del usuario y realización del procedimiento. Se describe además la técnica operatoria, y el tiempo operatorio e incidencia de morbilidad postoperatoria, que fueron 23 minutos y 7 por ciento respectivamente.
ABSTRACT
Retrospective study of the first 70 ambulatory scalpelless vasectomies performed at the Planned Parenthood Clinic of Cayetano Heredia National Hospital from january 1992 through August 1994. Age, education, number of children of patients and information source, time between decision and performance of the operation, and surgical technique are described. Surgery duration was 23 minutes and postoperative morbidity was 7 %.
