The work evaluated the prevalence of the ovine hydatidosis in two clandestine slaughter houses of Huanuco city in the term of July to December 2006. A sampled of the livers and lungs of the slaughtered ovines was made (n = 90). The viscera were evaluated through a post mortem exam, and anatomical dissection technique and the macroscopic observation of the lumps. As a result of the study, no positive cases int the already mentioned exam, therefore we conclude that the prevalence of ovine hydatidosis was of 00 percent for the slaughtered ovines in the two clandestine slaughtered house of Huanuco city in the term of July to December 2006. Infering that the zone or zones where they come from are free of this disease.
