RESUMEN
Se da a conocer la lista de 149 especies de flebotominos presentes para el Perú, distribuídos en 23 de los 24 departamentos del país. La clasificación taxonómica se basó en los trabajos de Galati (1990 y 1995), reportándose los siguientes géneros Warileya (5 especies), Brumptomyia (6),Oligodontomyia (1), Micropygomyia (7), Sciopemyia (5), Lutzomyia (30), Migonemyia (4), Pintomyia (16); Pressatia (4), Trichopygomyia (2), Evadromyia (7), Psathyromyia (17), Viannamyia (3), Martinsmyia (1), Bichromomyia (4), Psychodopygus (16), Nyssomyia (8) y Trichoporomyia (13). Además, se menciona la distribución geográfica de Pitanomyia verrucarum, vector natural del agente etiológico de la enfermedad de Carrión ("verruga peruana"); de cinco especies de flebotominos (P. robusta, P. maranonensis, P. serrana, Lu. peruensis y Lu. pescesi) incriminados como vectores de la Bartonella bacilliformis; de tres especies de flebotominos (Lu. ayacuchensis, Lu. perensis y Lu. tejadai), considerados vectores naturales; y de dos especies (P. verrucarum y Lu. pesceis) incriminados como vectores de los agentes etiológicos de la leishmaniosis tegumentaria en los valles occidentales e interandinos del norte, centro y sur del Perú.
ABSTRACT
List including 149 phlebotominae species present in Peru and distributed in 23 of 24 Peruvian Departments is presented. Taxonomy classification was based upon studies performed by Galati (1990 and 1995), and the following genera were found Warileya (5 species), Brumptomyia (6), Ofigodontomyia (1), Micropygomyia (7), Scippemyia (5), Lutzomyia (30), Migonemyia (4), Pintornyia (16), Pressatia (4), Trichopygomyia (2), Evandromyia (7), Psathyromyia (17), Viannamyia (3), Martinsmyia (1), Bichromomyia (4), Psychodopygus (16), Nyssomyia (8), and Trichoporomyia (13). The geographic distribution of Pifanomyia verrucarum, the natural vector for Carrion's disease ("Peruvian wart") is also mentioned, as well as for five Phlebotomus species (P. robusta, P. maranonensis, P. serrana, L. peruensis y L. pescei), implicated as vectors for Bartonella bacilliformis; three Phlebotomus species (L. ayacuchensis, L. peruensis y L. tejadai), also considered as natural vectors, and two species (P verrucarum and L. pescei) incriminated as vectors for the agents causing tegumentary leishmaniasis in the western and inter-Andean valleys in the northern, central, and southern regions in Peru.
