Aspectos bioéticos de la relación bioanálista-paciente / Bioethical aspects of Clinical Laboratoy Technologist - patient relationship

RESUMEN

La atención en salud es una actividad social que necesita de la bioética para impregnar de calidad y sentido la vida de todo ser humano. En este Artículo se describen los principios clásicos de la bioética relacionados con la atención en salud para abordar específicamente la relación del profesional del Bioanálisis con el paciente. Además, se exponen, el tipo de información que debe trasmitir este profesional, así como las barreras que pueden interferir en la relación clínica. Por último, se presenta el concepto del secreto profesional y los límites de su aplicación. Estos aspectos deberían ser incorporados a la actividad diaria de estos profesionales para beneficio de ambas partes(AU)

ABSTRACT

Health care is a social activity that uses bioethics to impregnate sense of quality and life to every human being. In this article the classical principles of bioethics related health care are described; specifically the relationship between the Clinical Laboratory Technologist and the patient is addressed. Additionally, it exposes the type of information that should convey this professional, as well as the barriers that can interfere with the interpersonal relationship in clinical settings. Finally, the concept of professional secrecy and the limits of its application are presented. These aspects should be incorporated into the daily activities of these professionals for the benefit of both parties(AU)
