RESUMO
Objetivos:
realizar levantamento epidemiológico de casos confirmados de sífilis em gestantes adolescentes no período de 2007 a 2016 e estabelecer o perfil epidemiológico das adolescentes diagnosticadas com sífilis na gestação.Método:
estudo documental retrospectivo de abordagem quantitativa. Desenvolvida com dados do Sistema Nacional de Agravos de Notificação (SINAN).Resultados:
Verificou-se um constante aumento dos casos de sífilis em gestantes adolescentes, com maior expressividade para os três últimos anos pesquisados, que juntos, acumularam 57% dos casos notificados. A maioria das gestantes adolescentes tinham entre 15 e 19 anos (96,8%), e possuíam apenas a 5ª e a 8ª séries incompletas (23,9%). Quanto ao diagnóstico e tratamento, 43,2% foram diagnosticadas ainda no 1º trimestre, 68,7% estavam na fase latente e apenas 50% dos parceiros foram tratados concomitantemente.Conclusão:
A incidência de sífilis em gestantes adolescentes vem aumentando de forma preocupante. São necessárias intervenções mais eficazes para o controle da doença entre adolescentes. (AU)ABSTRACT
OBJECTIVES:
To conduct an epidemiological survey of confirmed cases of syphilis in adolescent pregnant women from 2007 to 2016, and to establish the epidemiological profile of adolescents diagnosed with syphilis during pregnancy.METHOD:
retrospective documentary study of quantitative approach, developed with data from the National System of Notifiable Diseases.RESULTS:
There was a steady increase in syphilis cases in adolescent pregnant women, with greater expressiveness for the last three years surveyed, which together accounted for 57% of reported cases. Most adolescent pregnant women were between 15 and 19 years old (96.8%), and tehir level of education ranged from incomplete 5th and 8th grades (23.9%). Regarding diagnosis and treatment, 43.2% were diagnosed as early as the first trimester, 68.7% were in the latent phase and only 50% of the partners were treated concomitantly.CONCLUSION:
The incidence of syphilis in adolescent pregnant women has increased in a worrisome way. More effective interventions for disease control among adolescents are needed. (AU)Key words
