ABSTRACT
One hundred and fifty lepromatous patients of both sexes, with active lesions, were selected for this trough clinica, bacilloscopic and histopathological examinations. Two kinds of lesions were found active and residual. Specific active were described as maculae, infiltrations, papules, nodules and plaques, with were most frequently found, in decreasing order, in uvula, solt and hard palate, and lips. Lesions presenting positive baciloscopy, even with an apparently normal mucosa, were always considered as active.
