RESUMEN
Las siguientes normas de bioseguridad están eleboradas para todo el personal de salud, quienes manipulan material infeccioso con microorganismos potencialmente peligrosos (desde bacterias hasta virus), también se aplican estas normas al trabajo con agentes que causan otras enfermedades transmitidas por la sangre, como el virus de la hepatitis B (VHB). estas normas permiten dar información precisa a todo el personal de salud sobre como protegerse adecuadamente y evitar infecciones de acuerdo al nivel de riesgo en el que cada uno se encuentre.
