ABSTRACT
The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of weight Betta splendens females and the numberof eggs and larvae from breeding tanks. The experiment was conducted in zoology laboratory of theUniversidade Federal do Piauí, Campus Professor Cinobelina Elvas, in the city of Bom Jesus. We used 15couples Betta splendens of reproductive age and made you biometrics weight and meeting the players. Theexperiment was conducted in a completely randomized design with 3 treatments the levels of the water column ofbreeding tanks and 5 replicates per treatment, the results were submitted to variance analysis at the level of5.0%, and the averages were compared by Tukey test through BIOESTAD 5.0. The greater the weight of thefemale greater the number of larvae Betta splendens. To obtain more larvae Betta splendens the farmer can usebreeding greater size or weight.
