Avaliação da circunferência escrotal como critério de seleção de machos jovens da raça Santa Inês

RESUMO Os dados foram obtidos de ovinos no Centro Nacional de Pesquisa de Caprinos da Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa Agropecuária - EMBRAPA , Sobral - Ceará em 1994 e referem-se a 17 machos jovens da raça Santa Inês. As médias observadas e os desvios-padrão para a circunferência escrotal e peso corporal aos 112, 142, 170, 200 e 230 dias de idade foram 15,79 ± 2,32; 18,62 ± 3,94; 20,31 ± 3,56; 24,06 ± 4,58; 29,85 ± 1,47 cm e 8,06 ± 3,09; 22,76 ± 4,42; 25,14 ± 4,41; 33,73 ± 8,22; 40,67 ± 5,43 kg.
