ABSTRACT
At present, disability is a socioeconomic issue that is difficult to address in its full spectrum. It is estimated that in Spain 6.1% of the population suffers from some type of disability; however, according to the World Health Organization, this figure is around 15% worldwide. In this sense, it is a priority to achieve an adequate balance that provides economic and social resources to this sector of the population and guarantees their full and equitable social integration.
