ABSTRACT
The authors did a brief literature review about the main clinical forms of leishmaniasis, as well as on ethiology, epidemiologic data and diagnostic features. Otherwise they present some differential aspects among the theer principal clinical forms of the disease. At last an interesting case report is shown in which lesions were referred only into oral mucosa, and were taken clinically by the dental student as paracoccidioidomicosis. Later on a biopsy result submited to Giemsa Stainning evinsted to be leishmaniasis
