Método alternativo para confecção e fixação de provisório através de fita de vidro reforçada por resina em região anterior: relato de 2 casos clínicos / Alternative method for confection and fixation of provisional teeth with fiber-reinforced composite resin in anterior region: report of 2 cases

RESUMO

A ausência de elementos dentários em região anterior implica em uma necessidade funcional, fonética, estética e em medidas imediatas para satisfação do paciente. Ainda hoje, o planejamento clínico para substituição destes dentes representa um desafio na Odontologia, devido à necessidade de uma estrutura dentária saudável para estabelecer as funções do elemento perdido. A possibilidade do uso de uma fita de fibra de vidro reforçada por resina (Ribbond®) para fixar o pôntico aos elementos adjacentes foi recentemente proposta por sua força e rigidez, além da adaptabilidade a várias formas e potencial adesivo na estrutura dentária. Sendo assim, o objetivo deste trabalho é apresentar dois casos clínicos onde o uso do Ribbond® demonstrou ser um método fácil e adequado para estabilização e fixação do provisório, obtendo sucesso estético e funcional da região edêntula.

ABSTRACT

The absence of dental elements in the anterior region implies in functional, phonetic and aesthetics needs as well as immediate measures to reach the patient's satisfaction. Even today, the clinical planning for teeth replacement is a challenge in Dentistry because of the need for healthy teeth structures to establish the functions of the lost elements. The possibility of using a fiber-reinforced composite resin material (Ribbond) to create pontic ridge relations was recently proposed because of its strength and rigidity, in addition to various forms of adaptability and potential adhesiveness to the dental structure. Therefore, the aim of this study is to present two cases where the use of Ribbond have proved to be an easy and appropriate method for stabilizing and fixing the provisional teeth getting aesthetic and functional success of the edentulous region.
