Testemunho e reflexividade: a produção imagética nas pesquisas sobre trabalho e saúde / Testimony and reflexivity: the image production in research on work and health

RESUMO

Esta tese apresenta uma análise do uso da imagem técnica (fotografia) nas pesquisas sobre trabalho e saúde. A partir da combinação dos termos saúde, ‘trabalho e fotografia (e suas variações), foram selecionados 39 documentos (teses e dissertações) entre os que foram encontrados em nove bases de dados, considerando o período de 1966 a 2014, reunindo um total de 2362 fotografias. A leitura dos resumos permitiu classificar o corpus em três temas a fotografia no mundo do trabalho, o mundo do trabalho na fotografia e a fotografia nos processos de produção de conhecimento sobre trabalho e saúde. As imagens foram estruturadas em três textos visuais pré-escrito (prescrito e prescritivo), aberto em descobertas e autoral e foram abordadas a partir da concepção triádica (primeiridade, secundidade e terceiridade) como estratégia para percepção, descrição e interpretação por compreensão, das representações, significados e sentidos sobre trabalho e saúde. O diálogo entre os dois textos visuais (verbais e não-verbais) permitiu descrever e analisar a interação palavra-imagem; identificar os fatores que interferem na não visibilidade da imagem na produção científica; compreender os discursos sobre trabalho e saúde e; apontar as contribuições de diferentes disciplinas para interpretação e estudo da imagem. A produção imagética das teses e dissertações selecionadas destaca, em atos de testemunho, o dano no corpo; as respostas da postura e dos gestos pela carga de trabalho e; as cenas com objetos, instrumentos e fatores de risco, pertencentes a diferentes processos de trabalho. Mas, expressa também descobertas e autorrepresentações em atos de reflexividade. Assim a imagem afirma sua potência na construção de narrativas e falas que evocam memórias e saberes, possibilitando abordar os aspectos enigmáticos do trabalho e da atividade.

ABSTRACT

This thesis presents an analysis of the use of the image technique (photography) in the research on work and health. From the combination of the terms health, work and photography (and its variations), were selected 39 documents (theses and dissertations) between those found in nine databases, considering the period 1966 to 2014, bringing together a total of 2362 photographs. The reading from the summaries allowed sorting the corpus in three themes the picture in the world of work, the world of work in photography and photography in the processes of knowledge production about work and health. The images were structured in three visual texts pre-written (prescribed and prescriptive), open in discoveries and authorship - and discussed from the triadic conception (Firstness, Secondness, and Thirdness) as a strategy for perception, understanding, interpreting and description of representations, meanings and senses on work and health. The dialogue between the two visual texts (verbal and non-verbal) allowed to describe and analyze the interaction Word-Image; identify the factors that interfere with the not visibility of the image on scientific production; understand the speeches about work and health and; point out the contributions of different disciplines to study and interpretation of the image. The imagistic production of theses and dissertations highlights, in acts of witness, the damage to the body; the answers of the posture and of the gestures by workload and; the scenes with objects, instruments and risk factors, belonging to different work processes. But, expressed also discovered and self-representations in acts of reflexivity.
