RESUMO
Estudo de natureza qualitativa, que objetivou identificar as percepções de acadêmicos de Odontologia sobre visitas domiciliares realizadas a usuários por eles atendidos na universidade. Os dados foram obtidos através de depoimentos individuais escritos dos alunos e interpretados por meio de análise de conteúdo temática. Concluiu-se que, entre os pesquisados, a visita domiciliar mostrou-se efetiva para o aprendizado baseado na realidade, oportunizou a ampliação da visão sobre o processo saúde-doença, possibilitou o reconhecimento da importância do vínculo e do acolhimento na atenção à saúde, e favoreceu a participação dos alunos como sujeitos ativos na construção do conhecimento.
ABSTRACT
This qualitative study aimed to identify the perceptions of dental students on home visits to families of patients treated by them. The visits were accompanied by Community Health Workers belonging to the Family Health Program.Data were obtained on the basis of individual written reports of students and interpreted through thematic content analysis. It was concluded that for this group of students surveyed home visits proved to be an effective tool for learning based on reality and also an opportunity to expand their vision of the health-disease process, enabling the recognition of the importance of bonding and host in health care and encouraging participation of students as active subjects on knowledge construction.
