Atividades circenses na escola: a prática dos professores da rede municipal de Campinas-SP / Circus activities in school: the teachers's practice of Campinas-SP municipal schools

RESUMO

Estudos recentes mostram que as aulas de Educação Física tem sido uma das principais "portas de entrada" dos saberes circenses nas escolas, indicando um crescente interesse por parte dos professores de Educação Física pelo ensino das atividades circenses. Embora a produção acadêmica nesse tema tenha aumentado significativamente, as particularidades da "pedagogia das atividades circenses" no contexto da Educação Física escolar ainda carecem de análises específicas. Visando contribuir com este tema, o objetivo desse trabalho foi analisar o ensino das atividades circenses nas aulas de Educação Física escolar no ensino fundamental (1º ao 9º ano) em escolas municipais de Campinas-SP. Do ponto de vista metodológico realizamos uma pesquisa de campo por meio de um questionário semiestruturado online respondido por 26 professores de Educação Física da rede municipal de ensino. Os dados obtidos foram analisados por meio de uma combinação da Análise de Conteúdo e da Estatística Descritiva. Constatamos que metade dos professores ministravam aulas de atividades circenses e que dentre as fontes referenciais utilizadas os vídeos e imagens disponíveis na internet e os livros foram as mais consultadas. A manipulação de objetos (malabarismos), as acrobacias e os equilíbrios (funambulismo) são os grupos de modalidades mais abordadas nas aulas. Os conhecimentos prévios e interesses dos alunos, a complexidade das práticas, os conhecimentos específicos dos professores e os recursos materiais disponíveis representaram critérios fundamentais para a seleção das modalidades a serem ministradas. Entre os professores que não abordavam a temática, encontramos que a maioria não teve formação na área não se sentindo competente para ensinar. Parece-nos, em suma, que os materiais didáticos precisam adequar-se às novas tecnologias disponíveis online, visando aproximar a produção acadêmico-científica da realidade escolar, e que é preciso atentar-te para a formação continuada dos profissionais....(AU)

ABSTRACT

Recent studies show that Physical Education classes have been one of the main "access doors" to circus knowledge in schools, indicating a growing interest on the part of Physical Education teachers by the teaching of circus activities. Although the academic production in this subject has increased significantly, the particularities of the "circus activities pedagogy" in the context of Physical Education still lacks specific analyzes. Aiming to contribute to this theme, the goal of this study was to analyze the teaching of circus activities in Physical Education classes in elementary school (1st to 9th grade) in municipal schools of Campinas-SP. From the methodological point of view, we conducted a field research through a semi-structured online questionnaire answered by 26 Physical Education teachers from the municipal education. Content Analysis and Descriptive Statistics were used as a technique for data analysis. We found that half of the teachers taught circus activities in classes, and among the referential sources used the videos and images available on the internet and the books were the most consulted. It has been reported that the manipulation of objects (juggling), acrobatics and balances (funambulism) are the most developed modalities in classes. The students' previous knowledge and interests, the complexity of the practices, the specific knowledge of the teachers and the material resources available were fundamental criteria for the selection of the modalities to be taught. Among the teachers who did not approach the subject, we found that most had no experience in the area, not feeling competent to teach. It seems to us, therefore, that textbook and courseware need to adapt to the new technologies available online, in order to bring academic-scientific production closer to school reality....(AU)
