RESUMO
Esta pesquisa foi realizada para caracterizar o perfil epidemiológico dos pacientes internados no CTI adulto, no período entre janeiro de 2016 e janeiro de 2017. Trata-se de um estudo do tipo documental, retrospectivo, de caráter exploratório, com abordagem quantitativa. Dos 975 prontuários de pacientes admitidos foi verificado que a maioria foi do sexo masculino no UTI Clínica 53,7% e UTI Cirúrgica 59,1%, sendo que a idade geral da amostra pesquisada se manteve acima dos 60 anos e a comorbidade mais frequente foi Hipertensão Arterial Sistêmica, a procedência dos pacientes foi do Bloco Cirúrgico com 32,2%, como causa de internação ocorreu uma divergência entra as UTI's, sendo que na Clínica 30,6% dos pacientes internaram por septicemia, na Cirúrgica com 31,2% com Infarto Agudo do Miocárdio. Este estudo propiciou um conhecimento do perfil epidemiológico do CTI adulto para oportunizar melhores condutas, implantação de protocolos e revisão do processo de trabalho para a instituição estudada.(AU)
ABSTRACT
This study was carried out to characterize the epidemiological profile of patients hospitalized in the adult ICU, between January 2016 to January 2017. This is a documentary study, retrospective, exploratory with a quantitative approach. In amount of the 975 patients admitted, the majority were male gender in the Clinical ICU, 53.7%, and the Surgical ICU, 59.1%, and the general age of the sample surveyed remained above 60 years, and the most frequent comorbidity was Arterial Hypertension Systemic, the origin of the patients was 32.2% of the surgical block, as cause of hospitalization, occurred a divergence among ICUs, In the Clinical ICU, 30.6% of patients were hospitalized for sepsis, and in the Surgical ICU, 31.2% was hospitalized for Acute myocardial infarction. This study provided a knowledgement of the epidemiological profile for adult in the ICU, in order to provide better behavior, protocol implementation and review of the work process for the institution studied.(AU)
