ABSTRACT
Early detection of breast cancer by mammography an analysis of women's trajectories. The aim of this study is to analyze the trajectories taken by women over 60, who are SUS users, for early detection of breast cancer (BC) through mammography. This is a qualitative study that used the focus group (FG) technique. It covers the trajectories of three different women and the main factors involved were the representation of the disease and the experience of seeking care, the organization of health services, and the support networks for women. Tracing their trajectories made it possible to demonstrate the paths taken by women in their search for preventive care, as well as to analyze the difficulties of the services in ensuring them access to mammography. In addition, it highlights that the obstacles to carrying out early detection of BC are real.
