Objective:
To compare the solubility of three curing acrylic resins immersed in different solutions at different exposure times.Material andMethods:
Twelve groups of 3 discs each one were made, each group consisting of an acrylic resin and a solvent, which were evaluated at 24hrs, the same discs at 48hrs, a week and a month. Results:
The value of maximun solubility in the Duralay acrylic resin was 0.093 in the ethanol solvent, while the minimum value of solubility was that evidenced by Alike acrylic resin with 0.005 in the water solvent. In addition, it was demonstrated that the soda was the solvent that caused greater uptake of water and pigments in the test samples, considering it inefficient for the durability of the self-healing crowns. Conclusions:
The acrylic resins showed significant volumetric changes, mainly the gaseous was the one that caused more dilation and the one that showed Lesser solubility was the Alike resin compared to the other acrylic resins. (AU)
