Sepsis Neonatal: actualización de los criterios diagnósticos / Neonatal Sepsis: up-dating diagnostic criteria

RESUMEN

Si hubiera que nombrar una enfermedad como la más característica de las que se atienden en las Unidades de Cuidados Intensivos, la causa más frecuente de muerte en las Unidades no coronarias, la enfermedad más prevalente , y posiblemente el principal caballo de batalla de la medicina intensiva contemporánea, ésa sería la sepsis. La sepsis ya se considera como la epidemia del siglo XXI, y es definida como una enfermedad reemergente. A pesar de los avances experimentados en su diagnóstico y tratamiento, la patología infecciosa neonatal continúa siendo una de las principales causas de morbimortalidad en este período de la vida (sobre todo en el recién nacido prematuro). Por este motivo nos motivamos a buscar a través de la base de datos Medline artículos publicados en los años 2000 con el objetivo de actualizar nuestros criterios usados para definir la sepsis neonatal. Se revisaron 65 artículos con predominancia española y norteamericana. A pesar de la disparidad de criterios en torno al tema mostramos el consenso actual, base para la atención al recién nacido así como de la investigación en este campo a nivel internacional...(AU)

ABSTRACT

One of the main challenges of High Teaching is preparing a professional able of solving the difficulties he should affront in his daily life in Medical Sciences the challenge is greater because of the social role of the graduated; that is why the professional formation should be directed to the harmonic and full development of his personality. From this point of view it is evident that teaching might answer the demands of the society through a dialectic relation between the science logic, the profession logic and the logic of the instruments or stages in the realization of the tasks to obtain good qualities in the formation of the future professional. To do this, is it necessary to assume new pedagogical tendencies in through the direction of the teaching-learning process, the student becomes in an active subject and participate in the construction of the knowledge. The introduction of the information and communication technologies is everyday more accepted.
