Prevalencia de la Gingivitis Crónica en la edad escolar

RESUMEN

Se realizó un estudio descriptivo transversal sobre prevalencia de la Gingivitis Crónica en la edad escolar en el S/I Josué País García de Nueva Gerona, Isla de la Juventud. El universo estuvo constituido por 441 niños y la muestra fue de 390 niños. La investigación se realizó con el objetivo de determinar prevalencia y gravedad de la Gingivitis Crónica en las edades de 5 a 12 años en cuanto al sexo y por grupo de edades e identificar los factores de riesgo relacionados con la enfermedad. Resultó que la prevalencia de Gingivitis crónica en el S/I Josué País García fue de 46.2 por ciento por cada 100 niños examinados. En cuanto a la gravedad la mayor prevalencia de enfermedad fue de Gingivitis leve con un 26.9 por ciento. El factor de riesgo más relacionado con la aparición de la enfermedad fue la placa dentobacteriana(AU)

ABSTRACT

He/she was carried out a descriptive traverse study on prevalencia of Chronic Gingivitis in the school age in S/I Josué País García of New Gerona, Island of the Youth. The universe was constituted by 441 children and the sample belonged to 390 children. The investigation was carried out with the objective of determining prevalencia and graveness of Chronic Gingivitis in the ages from 5 to 12 years as for the sex and for group of ages and to identify the factors of risk related with the illness. It was that the prevalencia of chronic Gingivitis in S/I Josué País García was of 46.2 percent for each 100 examined children. As for the graveness the biggest illness prevalencia was of light Gingivitis with 26.9 percent. The factor of risk more related with the appearance of the illness it was the badge dentobacteriana(AU)
