RESUMEN
Durante los meses de enero a marzo del año 2007, se realizó un estudio de intervención tipo cuasiexperimental con estudiantes de la ESBU Fernando Mederos del Municipio Guines, Provincia La Habana con el objetivo de capacitar en VIH/SIDA a un grupo de adolescentes de 9no grado de dicha institución educacional. La estrategia de capacitación instrumentada cuenta con 2 etapas bien definidas Una primera etapa de diagnóstico de conocimientos y una segunda etapa de capacitación propiamente dicha. La muestra lo constituyó durante la fase inicial 47 estudiantes que cumplieron con criterios de inclusión previamente establecidos. Durante la fase de intervención se trabajó con 24 estudiantes que se seleccionaron mediante el método aleatorio. Se demostró que los adolescentes estudiados presentaron adecuados conocimientos sobre las vías de transmisión de la infección durante la fase inicial de la investigación, siendo menos significativos sus conocimientos sobre los factores de riesgos, así como de los líquidos o fluidos corporales en que se encuentra presente el virus en cantidades suficientes para transmitir la infección. Los adolescentes estudiados no tienen una adecuada percepción individual sobre los comportamientos de riesgos para contraer la infección. Se evidenció una mejoría ostensible de los conocimientos posterior a la estrategia de capacitación aplicada (AU)
ABSTRACT
A program of educational intervention was carried out to the inhabitants of the housings that presented focuses in the urban area of the north area of Güines, in the understood period of January to December of the 2006, with the objective of evaluating their effect in the population's perception of risk of making sick for dengue, threatens of a new epidemic and in the population's knowledge importance of the measures to eradicate the incidence of focuses in the housings. 448 people were interviewed, 224 received the educational program and the rest was used as control group . The perception of seriousness of the illness ascended between a 33 and 56, 3 per cent and the perception of risk of a new epidemic in 60, 7 per cent. 36, 1 per cent incorporated the domestic reparation as the most important measure to eradicate the vector and 60,2 per cent of the people acquired a superior knowledge in relation to the responsibility of the fight antivectorial. In the Group 1 a reduction took place in the number of housings with focuses of 36, 4 per cent compared with the group 2 .The investigation show that the programs of educational intervention are effective to increase the perception of risk and threatens of a new epidemic of the dengue and the importance of the population's knowledge importance of the measures to eradicate the incidence of focuses in the housings, as well as to diminish the number of housings with focuses in the community (AU)
