RESUMEN
Se reporta la porencefalia como el tercer trastorno en la migración neuronal que se caracteriza por lesiones cavitarias focales en el parénquima cerebral de origen congénito o adquirido postnatalmente por destrucción del mismo. La porencefalia se puede asociar a otras malformaciones congénitas como la agenesia del septun pelucido, microcefalia, encefalocele y se manifiesta clínicamente por trastornos motores, retraso mental, atrofia óptica y crisis epilépticas. Se presenta un paciente, masculino, negro de procedencia rural, que acude a consulta externa de neurología del Hospital Pediátrico Provincial Mártires de las Tunas por crisis convulsivas tónico clónicas generalizadas, trastorno en el aprendizaje, se realizan estudios neurofisiológicos y neuroradiológicos, se enfatiza en la cualidad del cerebro de reformarse, renovarse y adaptarse debido a la plasticidad cerebral(AU)
ABSTRACT
The porencephaly is reported as the third disorder in neuronal migration and that is characterized by focal cavitary lesions in the cerebral parenchyma of congenital origin or acquired postnatally by self destruction. The porencephaly could be associated other congenital malformations such a the agenesis of pellucidum septum, microcephaly, encephalocele and manifest clinically by motors disorders, mental delay, optic atrophy and epileptic crisis. A black male patient,from the rural area, was presente, who come to external consultation of neurology of Martires de las Tunas Provincial Pediatric Hospital because of tonic-clonic convulsive crisis, learning disturbances .Neurophysiology and neuroradiologic studies were done. The quality of the brain of reform, be renew, and adapt itselt is emphasized due to cerebral plasticity(AU)
