ABSTRACT
It was presented the clinical case of a nursing child of 9 months of age, with recurrent zosteriform herpes simplex, which followed the path of the facial nerve, and secondarily infected by bacteria. The patient has personal pathological medical history of atopy and family with herpes simplex labialis, both important for the disease. The clinical progress was satisfactory and after treatment indicated, we only found low residual hyperchromic spots that we hope are temporary. The case was presented as being a rare pathology, uncommon at this age in the specialty of pediatrics and dermatology, and we took the opportunity to do a review on the topic with the aim of raising the level of knowledge and improve management of it (AU)
