José Joaquín Navarro Villar fue un médico homeópata y patriota cubano del siglo XIX. Su vida estuvo vinculada a la lucha por la independencia de Cuba, a la vez que realizó un importante aporte a la materia médica homeopática al introducir dos nuevos medicamentos: Comocladia dentata y Tarentula cubensis. ABSTRACT
José Joaquín Navarro Villar was a Cuban homeopathic physician and patriot of the XIX century. His life was related with the struggles for Cuban independency, and he also made an important contribution to the Homeopathic Materia Medica when he introduced two new medicines, Comocladia dentata y la Tarentula cubensis.
