ABSTRACT
The temporal series analysis is vital in monitoring and predicting disease in health. WHO launched the new Stop TB Strategy. The strategy will implement over the next 10 years, to stop TB in the period 2006-2015. The aim of this study was to predict the behavior of tuberculosis in Ciego de Avila province for 2011-2012 and make the results available to managers for making timely decisions to resolve problems affecting the population. A retrospective, longitudinal study was carried out. It was used the temporal series of TB with monthly frequency from 2000 to 2010 and annual from 1990 to 2010. To obtain the forecast it was used the method of exponential smoothing with two and three parameters. It was predicted a point estimate of 12.7 in 2011 and 12.9 in 2012 with narrow interval of prediction. It was used the appropriate method, with an estimated increase in the incidence of tuberculosis(AU)
