RESUMEN

La miastenia gravis (MG) es una enfermedad neuromuscular autoinmune y crónica caracterizada por grados variables de debilidad de los músculos esqueléticos. Suele iniciarse en los músculos que controlan el movimiento de los ojosy es confundida con un trastorno oftalmológico. Con el presente trabajo pretendemos sistematizar los referentes teóricos en torno a la MG que permitan poder hacer un correcto diagnóstico de la enfermedad a partir de la experiencia de un caso clínico. Se aborda la teorìa en torno a la MG donde se particulariza en la forma de presentación de la enfermedad, destacándose la importancia de su diagnóstico diferencial con una oftalmopatía, lo que contribuirá a imponer un tratamiento oportuno y a una evolución satisfactoria del paciente. Concluímos que la afectación del III par craneal es una forma de presentación frecuente de la MG, resultando de valor el diagnóstico diferencial de las oftalmopatías en estas entidades(AU)

ABSTRACT

Myasthenia Gravis MG is an autoimmune and chronic neuromuscular disease characterized by variable of weakness in the skeletal muscles that control the eye movements and it is confused with an ophthalmological disorder. With this presentation we pretend to systematize the Theoretical references about MG which allow making a correct diagnosis of the disease from the experience of a clinical case. The theory about MG regarding the presentation of the disease is discussed, emphasising on the significance of its differential diagnosis with an ophthalmopathy, which will contribute to apply a proper treatment and a satisfactory evolution of the patient, arriving to the conclusion that affectation of the III cranial pair is a way of frequent presentation of MG, being valuable the differential diagnosis of the ophthalmopaties in these entities(AU)
